i love that 8 Mile highlights that - he said - you aren’t ever gonna beat me by telling me about myself. Ever. I’m AWARE. But he is humble enough to know that he is a guest in someone else’s house, and to protect the legacies and to not let his face be the reason why Black history in music is erased. He made his way with his own style without shitting where he eats.

@colbybostian13932 жыл бұрын
It is easy to miss in the music video because it comes in right after the part where they are messing with the crowd mimicking them, but Eminem start his verse out with "I've got a couple of mansion, still I don't have any manners." Always loved that double. He is rich and lives in a mansion/manor, but he doesn't have rich people manners, he is real and savage and won't be polite to kiss someone's ass, he will speak his mind. Great stuff, keep up the eminem reactions man!

To be fair, if the man in question is even saying it’s not. Then you gotta just admit it wasn’t that good Even if YOU liked it, sorry to tell you, many who isn’t an Em fan? Didn’t like it. Same with Relapse, he had to take that critique and do better
@Smoothdice652010 ай бұрын
@@amanSpawn00Relapse? 3 a.m., Stay wide awake, My darling.. The problem with saying "do better" is that you mean different. On any objective metric the dude is always amazing. You don't have to like any of his stuff but it's never been accurate to say it's not good.
@LS-bk7xo10 ай бұрын
I totally agree. In terms of craftmanship and the message they put out there I think Relapse & Revival are on par with his other stuff. Nevertheless I can see why people give him shit for those two albums, because it's not the style from EM we - and I - are used to and fell in love with. You may not dig it, but it's top notch rap with deep meaningful songs.
@GARYBYRNE110 ай бұрын
@@amanSpawn00 no he didn’t. He said he took an L on it cos it only sold 3 million, never once did he say it wasn’t good. Actually, he used this album (Kamikaze) to respond to the backlash and said people pre-judged it by looking at the track list. He also questioned why people told him to grow up a bit and get rid of Shady, then he released a personal album and it got critiqued before it even came out. Hence this album being dropped with no promo and tweeted “tried not 2 over think this 1” and has dropped every album since without any warning. Critiquing Relapse is just silly. Accents and the things he is rapping about aside, Relapse has some of his best rapping on it.

This was ABSOLUTELY FKN DOPE.. for a specific reason.. because you can see and understand the matrix that is complex rap. Soo.. it’s a COMPLETELY different reaction!! You’re seeing it from a point of view that took some of us 5 times to hear and even be told. Like about the song structure.. the drums.. the offbeat.. the bells . You get it and watching your appreciation for the work put into the track is a breathe of fresh air. RESPECT!!!

Loved this reaction! Super entertaining! Not Alike or Fall from the same album would be great to get your take on. It’d also be really interesting to get your take on a couple of tracks from Revival (the album that got ‘trashed’). I’m not a big fan of some of it but there are a few tracks that I think are some of Em’s best writing. Eg Castle and Arose (you need to do these together - you’ll see why if you react to them). Walk on Water is another great track where he literally poured his feelings out - only for people to say it was awful. I think a lot of people’s issue with Revival Is the ‘bland’ production at times and the fact there are a lot of mainstream ‘pop’ centred features on the hooks eg Beyone, Pink, Ed Sheeran etc. Really excited for your Em journey!
@firefighterphi1492 жыл бұрын
The symbology of all the clones copying everything that they do is hidden until they start goofing off and reveal it. That's amazing concept work to accompany a banger of a song. Representing the fact that they set the tone and blaze the trail for what everyone else does in the game.

I’ve watched your reaction to this a couple of times and I love it! But just had a thought - it’d be great to get your take on a couple of tracks from Revival, the album Em was slated for! Your thoughts as an MC and producer would be really interesting. Your reaction to Walk on Water would be great, Em essentially bared his soul on that track, all his insecurities etc and it got sh*t on! I really liked it. Also, Castle and Arose contain some of the best writing of his career, really emotional - but the correlation between the two tracks is fire!! You need to do both together, you’ll see what I mean! If Em really wanted to get back into the game of his roots where he came from then it would be the smartest move he ever made by putting independent rappers as features on an entire album. Not just do it for the money but for the love he has for all the Stan’s that are now successful independent rapper’s. If not for being Stan’s of Em they might had never chased their dream of becoming the artist they are today. JS
