This is the, by far, the most inclusive amount of Billie's improvisational facets of singing that was truly revolutionary at the time she first sang it and reminds me of the saying, 'one picture is worth a thousand words'. Much of what made Billie, Billie, are the numerous elements she did in this song and which Angelina adopts in her version here. No one but Billie then, and Angelina now, could put over a song with this much intricate,complex musicality and that includes all singers 'Pre - Billie' and 'Post - Billie', right up to the present day.

@@wippletits From what I understand, except for one little mistake that was fixed, this was the version used on the album. It wasn't just a rehearsal. She recorded the entire album "It's Magic" over 2 days in Nov 2017 when she was still 11 yo.

@@wippletits Aftenposten followed her in the studio and published an article. The album was recorded on Nov 22 and 23 2017. If you listen to the finished album and grandmas video you will see it's this take. She did one mistake (a wrong word - you can tell from grandmas vid but on the album its gone). How many takes she did before is anybodys guess...

@@wippletits Magical ears? Well no. But I have been working with music since 1974 - every day.. so I do trust my ears yes. I also have experience in recording situations and what you see in the video IS a recording session - not a practice run. I can tell.. That's what 50 years of experience offers me. ;-)

@@wippletits Her grandmother have posted videos, sporadically, with quite er.. lets say eccentric titles.. Yes it's normal not to be alone in the booth. (Granny knows and is 100% quiet). It's NOT normal to rehearse in the booth.. or in the studio. It costs an arm and a leg - pr. minute.. 🙂 EDIT: Please note that I'm not saying this was the only take.. There have to be more than one, we can tell because Angelinas mistake was mended.. What I say is that the bulk of this recording ended up on the finished product..
