BTW - any chance you can add the mini mop to the "singles" list to buy? I can really see how having a wet and dry mini mop while blending would work great!! Extender or Slo-Dri as other companies call it, is basically more of a paint medium or additive that works with paint to make it take longer to dry. It doesn’t affect the paint opacity like water, and it stays wet on the surface, giving you lots of time to play around with the paint. It is really beneficial to use with blending like I did here, because water would dilute the paints and change their overall colors, where the extender just helps them to blend and stay wet for longer drying times.

Quick question Melanie. Will this method of blending work on a board painting - such as a Dimensions? Or is it too "wet" with the extender for the paper?

Oohhhh, that’s a GREAT question! I imagine if you use the extender sparingly you could achieve the same results. You would want to be very careful with those surfaces though, since they are more of a paper…soooo, this is something I need to investigate further.

Im probably going to sound like an ass,and im really not trying to sound like one,the only thing i'd say is your nose on the picture looks like it needs some definition,unless its just my eyes playing tricks on me again

No, we actually talked about that on the group last night. I’m still working on this piece…I have a LOT more to do! I have to go back and add shadows to redefine my nose, blend around the left side of my neck, blend a bunch of other small areas, and I haven’t begun to finish the background. 😩 But, I wanted to share what I had so far…and I should have added that note in the photo at the end. I wasn’t even thinking. 🤦🏻‍♀️
