Seeing that Georgia tag from my home in your part of the world made me laugh. A flea market is a flea market. The biggest difference is that we would have to go to the museum to see pieces like that. Old things don’t hold as much value in the states because they are always pushing the new and improved. The new stuff has no history or character. I like old things. Things are much cheaper in our flea markets. We have the concept of repurposing old things. I use to buy them cheap at the flea market, then use them to make other things. Thank you for a peek into your world.

As I'm watching these videos I notice that you usually key in on Caucasus daggers in leather sheaths and examine the blades. What characteristics, other than mirror bright burnishing, lets you know it is an older antique blade? Other than obvious pitting and extreme signs of wear.....
