The art is “A Still Life of Roses and Vase on a marble topped table” by Vernon Ward

And, he seems to be a well-known (deceased) painter!!!! That might be worth something, MaCenna!!! "Vernon Beauvoir Ward (1905-1985) was a 20th-century English painter and commercial artist noted for his works of flowers, birds and Edwardian subjects and who lived for most of his life in Hampstead in London."

My husband and I went thrifting & yard saling the other day looking for frames specifically. I found some gorgeous frames and, they some needed some repairs, and in a couple of them were two oil paintings. I am trying to determine is they are worth anything. We looked up the artists names on the internet and got a few hits, but were unsure if they were the same artists. How would I go about finding out if they are worth anything?

I have a buffet cabinet that would be perfect for your bath vanity. It's 6'7" long , has rounded 2 door cabinet doors on each side & a set of drawers in the center front. It's also exceptionally deep. It's in eastern NM so not an unreasonably long distance from you. Let me know if you're interested in seeing photos of it. It's gorgeous but much to big for my home.. but I've hung onto it because it's such a special piece.

I have a suggestion for you. I don't think there is an antique buffet in existence that is 7 ft. long. My suggestion is to do two antique pieces. It's more plumbing but you can get the 2 sinks that way. I've had it both ways, 2 sinks vs. 1 sink. We always did fine with 1 sink. With one sink, you could pick the antique piece you really love. The search is part of the journey!

I don't mind sayin I'm a bit jelly over that painting. It's beautiful! Not usually a rose person, but this one is perfect. The bed's gonna look great after a little wood putty, stain & something to help w that dryness. Can't wait to see! If u like white dishes, u should try milk glass! U wouldn't believe All the different patterns. I never knew until I started collecting. It's easy to find at thrift stores & prices are extremely affordable. It makes a beautiful table setting & of course, white goes w everything! I love finding beautiful colorful pieces to add to them for holidays or just because too

I finally figured out why I enjoy your channel so much v. a lot of other "design vlogs": you never TELL your audience that their design style is, WRONG...or, TACKY...or, SENSELESS. You offer excellent DIY options, while keeping negative comments far, far, away, as you invite us along on YOUR design journey. Kudos and XOXO!

The bed frame: it's a spool-turned frame, considered a "Jenny Lind"...yours could be as old as 1850s?? A very common style for cribs & smaller beds for children or 3/4 bed. These became *very* popular after a much-publicized American tour of an opera singer (Swedish, I think) promotional images, apparently, showed her in this style bed. Value: originals can be quite pricey, especially with original stain/finish. Price: difficult to say, but your mom likely got it for a steal, considering the condition & well, she's your mom, & she usually manages to get quite the deal!!

Awesome deal on the bed! I still can't believe you caulked that entire ceiling - I'd be in traction!
