I’m a great grandmother and I am so intrigued with your videos. I do appreciate your work ethics and your love of art. I remember that sort of moody art, it has always appealed to me, perhaps it’s because my grandma had it on her walls in the 1940s. Every time you go estate sales, antique stores I’m drawn to the same thing. Perhaps you are an old soul. Thank for giving this old lady something worthwhile to look at. Oh…. WoW that antique clamp is beautiful. My Grandmother had two in her home, but the one you seen at the flea market is so amazing. I hope you purchased it. They look so beautiful in a kitchen. It’s like the metal clamps we use to hold are project’s together while we are glueing and screwing projects together. I got one from my grandma and refinished it to look as beautiful as the one you seen at the flea market.

We lived in UK for 5 years and we always go every month. Don’t go in the touristy cities you’ll barely find one & will be too pricey. 😊

Macenna, I love watching you. I am going to give you a little advice on your cabinet doors. I like you have learned on my own through reading and watching others. Your cabinet doors are pine, which is very soft wood to begin with. While Glue does give some strength, but it is not nearly enough. You need to put 2 kreg screws in each side of the rails. You can hide the screw holes with pre-built kreg screws hole fillers, or you can make your own out of dowel rods. You are painting the doors, so you will not even be able to tell that they are there. i painted out all of my linen matts with ralph lauren saddle black paint flat, the linen was just too dirty and stained to clean up. and they look amazing next to the gold frames and pulls them all together.

I had a pair of those lamps in the 70's, They are Colonial in style and came with a clear hurricane lamp so a replacement should be easy to find.

I have that same lamp. We use it all the time. We bought it new "48 yrs ago" exactly. I know that because right before we had our 1st child, we bought some furniture and a few lamps. My son is now 48.....so, I would say your new vintage lamp find is approx. 48 to 50 yrs old. 😉

I got a pretty 24x30 mirror in an ornate gold frame at our thrift for $25. Yay! I bought 5 matching HON file cabinets and turned them into Japanese "sliding door" style. Then filled them with 8 bins of gifted quilt fabrics. I found 6 feet of wood cabinets then filled it with my planting and sprouting seeds. I am always running behind on storage.

Great to be back in LA can’t believe all the things you were able to do. The lamp is a great find & I haven’t ever seen one like it, the painting of the two apples reminded me of the richness of a Rembrandt portrait painting, there is nothing like experiencing his work in person. One thing I would suggest is finding a different frame, it doesn’t do the work justice. Great video thank you.

Aww … an English cottage! So nice! You are so… humble & sweet! Don’t ever change! The outside of the house is probably charming! You can do whatever you want inside a house! I have owned 6 homes and built 2. So fun! I love decorating and designing! 2100 sq ft makes so much more sense. My current home is 3000 sq ft for 2 people and 4 floors and an elevator. You need room to grow. Love how real you are! I also enjoy your DIY. YOU TRY EVERYTHING and that’s why I admire your ideas. I have a daughter that is 37 so…. I get where you are at with Romeo. My only suggestion is if you can, either re-stretch or take the Apple still life to be re-stretched. It looks like the canvas might be starting to sag at the corners, having it re-stretched will prevent rippling in the paint and help preserve the integrity of the the canvas.

For cleaning the linen on the frames. Try s small amount of Castile soap with Distilled water. Regular tap water has minerals that can cause further staining.

I kind of like the new lamp next to the painting, but even more than that, when the new ornate frame was near the apple painting, I was thinking a more ornate frame for that painting would take it to a whole other level. Yes, you would lose the attached lamp, but an ornate frame for that painting would be incredible!

Such A pretty lamp!! You also bought some really pretty art, I have quite a few paintings with the country side, barn, etc...I love those type pics, we live out in the country where there are alot of barns and our home is a big log cabin with the long front porch so they just seem fitting😊 Also I'm obsessed with that trunk Drew bought!! I love old trunks.. we own a thrift store and get alot of donations (mainly from estates/sales) so we get alot of nice old trunks in!

about the ball/pumkin we had these in school for sport. most of the time u would use them like kettleballs. they variate in weight and size and can be quite heavy, at least for 12-14 year olds😂🥲
