This is a Kresse-Igel, so cress hedgehog! You can put in the seeds and fill it up with water a couple of times and than the cress will sprout :)

I have The same one and use it often. I let it soak in water overnight before I give it new seeds. In 4 or 5 days The Sprouts are ready

We had one of the hedgehogs when I was a kid. I’d actually forgotten all about them. You can use it to grow alfalfa sprouts… or to sprout any seeds really. They work really well 😊

These old brown glass bottles that you were wondering about are old apothecary inventory. They used to store chemicals in there in case they needed to make medicine on demand.

The hedgehog originally was used for growing cress at the wndow sill. The little plants representing the prickly back of a hedgehog ;-) but of course you can use it for anything you like.

The glass Bottles come from old pharmacy. They often have a whole room full and then start selling them of at some point. In Munich I found them directly from a pharmacy that needed the space.

Most bigger cities host flea markets every few months, at least once or twice a year. In addition, there are always some private-organised neighbourhood markets or garage sales going all year around

I have a thrifted sugar container that I absolutely love, but I’m too germaphobic to have sugar in it, so it holds elastic bands for easy access. I dunno, maybe that could be an idea for yours 😊

Me too! I feel weird putting food in thrifted containers somehow :s Elastic bands are such a good idea!

Just scrub it thoroughly with dish soap and maybe rinse with some boiling water with white vinegar and it should be fine! Nearly all of my dishes are thrifted and there was never an issue with germs. Just avoid plastic and not properly glazed items

Haha, I didn't just decorate my home! My husband has been living here for over 5 years, and me 1.5 years. I actually only spent 6 months making over the apartment from Feb to August 2021, but then in November decided to change up my living room as well. As mentioned in the moving video, we've tried to find a new place for over a year now, and we're really happy with the new place we found. It is also a Rental, we didn't buy it. (It's very very common to rent your whole life in Germany) Hope that makes things clearer ;)
