Love the camaraderie gals. No poop on the lens today lol. Ok, no way another sweater I must knit, but I’m sure I have no Samoyed yarn in MY Stash. Now, I must order a mitten kitten but which one both are so lovely. Great way to name your farm animals by their personality. I do the same with my pets. Awesome podcast as usual.

Thank you for your podcasts! Each time I watch I am back in the studio space chatting with you! Alison and I so enjoyed our visit to your farm and shop! Also, I finished "Gordon" project #2! A simple cable sweater for our daughter - I even drafted the pattern myself from the list of elements she wanted included! It really is a lovely yarn to work with. Thank you for that too!

Just started listening and watching your podcasts.....absolutely love the stories you tell about your life on the farm, the process of making yarn and everything else . Needless to say, nothing gets done in the house as I am busy listening to your podcasts and knitting at the same time :-) ....oh well....

I’ve been watching your podcast one after the other and have been loving them. You have a great on camera style, you are very witty together. Love learning about your yarns and farm. Jennifer, you remind me of Catherine O’Hara in her younger years.

I just love listening to you ladies talk about your adventures on the farm and your memories of days gone by on the concert stage! Lol! You are both so engaging, such a great podcast. I will order yarn from you but I just have so many Wip's staring me in the face and not being the quickest knitter in the world it's going to take a bit of time. I wish you nothing but success!

I've been loving your podcasts. Laughed about the sheep poop on your lens last week. My husband joined me watching after you'd given your disclaimer and started wiping our TV screen. Ha. I sympathize with playing the piano in a recital - I wanted to go into music and took classes at the college I wanted to attend while I was in high school, but couldn't conquer stage fright. My teacher had me play in front of a group of elementary school students and their families and I had to memorize 6 pages of a hard piece. My legs were visibly shaking and I blanked out when I was about 15 bars from the end; everything but the last chord left my brain, so I played it, curtsied, and ran crying to the bathroom. My teacher told me I wasn't cut out for a career in music. But I still play for pleasure - it's my other stress buster besides knitting.

Jan Yup sounds like a similar experience! I had such stage fright and a fear of public speaking for a VERY long time. Fortunately that doesn’t extend to recording a podcast! Thank you (and your husband) so much for watching!! We love getting to connect with knitters this way, it’s magic! 💜

What a vision...skating horses, sorting lambs who just want to play, pickaxes and ice, ice, ice! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing of your life on the farm and am very grateful for my warm city house! My Roses are Red mittens have the tight colourwork cuff and I love it because it fits me so nice and snug. I recognize that it would be a disaster on a sweater though. Oh yes, glad you have the new camera and the spots (whatever their source, giggle) are gone. Great episode. Heading over to check out the yarns now.

Thank you for all of the smiles and great knitting content this morning! And oh my, yes...this past few weeks on the farm has been exhausting, hasn't it? We don't have a huge amount of snow - maybe 6 inches but with drifts, but the solid ice underneath makes everything so difficult. The new bunny yarn looks amazing ;)

I found you on IG first thru Janet at Green Gables Alpacas ... now I am binge watching your Podcasts & loving them. I laughed out loud at your rip it back conversation! I am a new knitter and my first project was an acrylic Aran Fleck rectangular wrap in simple knit/purl with a garter boarder .... talk about ripping out ... lol ... I redid that thing 3 times from start to finish to fix the mistakes/dropped stitches and to get it the size I liked .... I just told myself its a good learning experience .... my dad liked mine so much I made him one a bit bigger for a couch throw.

Your podcasts are so great! I just put an order in for the violet Iona Bunny yarn--I can't wait to see and feel the yarn. I'm almost finished my first pair of Roses Are Red mittens. I went up 2 needle sizes for the colour work band and it still pulls in but I think it will prevent cold air from getting in. I also had some challenges with the looseness of the Latvian braid at the beginning/end of round but I think all will be well once the mittens are washed and blocked.

I've finished one of the Trondheim mitts. Unfortunately the three colour part is a bit puckered. I'd be interested in finding how to knit with 3 strands. I've done the Salt Water mitts with 2 strands and it's no problem with puckering. Also, here's a video about how to fix the jog in the Latvian braid. She talks about it at around the 10 minute mark. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKfOaqdubZeimK8

Apparently purl tension is always looser. Love the snowflake/stag jumper. But Im not a fan of Garnstudio. As they dont give very detailed instructions.
@FleeceHarmonyPodcast
@FleeceHarmonyPodcast 2 жыл бұрын
Yes - by our North American standards, most of the patterns from northern Europe are not very detailed. They make a lot of assumptions that you have a certain amount of knowledge to fill in the blanks. I guess it's a legacy coming from the fact that knitting is so entrenched in their culture.
