Fleet History - Fate of KLM's Boeing 747s (Part 1)

With the recent retirement of KLM's 747 fleet, I decided to compile all info on the disposition of those aircraft into a Fleet History video. Part 1 showcases -200 and -300 variants that flew with the airline from 1971 to 2004, and the recently-retired -400s will be covered in Part 2.
Fleet History Fates is a spin-off to my Fleet History series that takes a look at the disposition of airline fleets and where each aircraft went after their retirement. It showcases details such as manufacturer number, delivery and withdrawal dates, storage locations and write-offs. I gained the inspiration for this after reading an Airliners.net thread about the fate of KLM's 747 Classics, which can be found in this link: www.airliners.net/forum/viewt....

For me I love them because KLM was the launch customer of the 747-200. Also because their 70s-90s livery fit them so well.

The combi 747 pretty much declined in popularity after the SAA 295 crash. It would've been nice to see a -8 combi.

The KLM 747 at Lelystad is a 747 300
