The detail on these battle cruisers is MIND BLOWING!!! I think they look even better sailing on a natural lake instead of a swimming pool. Just adds to the realism:)

Hi fred Ted, nice to see you again. I am not sure, if the original NELSON has the same proportions. But I agree, that some ships in original have strange propotions, made by the ship constructor. Best wishes Bilge from Subwaterfilm

Hi hi Bilge , yes they were made with strange looks , ( NELSON and RODNEY .) turrets at the bow and middle , superstructure at the stern , but the design kinda grows on you ! Best regards from Wales .
@Subwaterfilm6 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, I've discussed this design with Holger, and he supports your point of view. So will habe to get to know these ships first. But as Holger also points out, nearly every freighter an older container ships also have their deckshouses aft. Greetings, Bilge
@fredtedstedman6 жыл бұрын
Hi hi , if you look on google for " G3 Battleship" you can see what they would have been before being cut down by Washington Treaty . The original idea was to have 2 turrets , then the armoured bridge , then the 3rd turret , then the engines boats and secondary armament . My hobby used to be making scale drawings of warships so it is interesting to study "what they might have been ." and yes , the machinery at the stern is almost universal configuration now . The sailors , who liked their ships to be handsome , called them NELSOL AND RODNOL , after the fleet oil tankers , who all had names ending with OL ! I have a degree in 3 dimensional design so it is shapes and proportions that interest me.

I actually have a model of Bismarck and although it cannot fire or change direction on its own (that's a BIG problem) when voyaging, it does move well and since I got a smoke machine installed in it, it fits almost every characteristic of the real one when cruising. VG, Andreas
@Subwaterfilm7 жыл бұрын

Vielleicht?
@Subwaterfilm6 жыл бұрын
LG, Holger
@Zakahia6 жыл бұрын
LG Zero
@Subwaterfilm6 жыл бұрын
Wow! Danke Dir, mein Freund! Holger

Hi Izumi,.. also the YAMATO is also quite well known, there are hardly any on our waters... perhaps its because of the sheer size of the big Ship... ? She´s quite impressive, that´s for sure! Thanks a lot and best wishes! Holger from Subwaterfilm
