Yeah, most of today's musicians and singers sound like the kid with the plastic trumpet after Santa Claus visited the tree... Untalented people making millions with simplistic songs (they don't know what an album is) and destroying our brain cells. This music is handmade silk velvet compared to the mass-produced prefabricated songs of today.

1977, my college dorm on a Friday afternoon, every room with a turntable had their vinyl out, most with friends down the hall and snuck in beers.... the musical potpourii filled the floors, usually in preparation for heading to the college bars in town (18 was the drinking age in MN) - why is it still the music I'm drawn to? Because it is SO DAMN GOOD! - Fleetwood Mac, Boston, Hall and Oats, Peter Frampton, CCR, Foreigner, Kansas, Head East, Electric Light Orchestra, Eagles, Pablo Cruise, Steve Miller Band, Commodores, James Taylor, CSN, Heart, ABBA, Elton John, Aerosmith, Queen, Supertramp, Boz Scaggs, Bee Gees, Bread, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Pure Prarie League, The Floaters, KC and the Sunshine Band, Bay City Rollers... Music that has stood the test of time. I appreciate you "kids" enjoying it. Thank you.

39 year old here. Grew up on 90's hip-hop and 2000+ nu-metal. But this song right here...shit, easily one of my top 5 favourite songs of my existence. Stevie's Goddess voice and the passion she in which she delivers those life experiences through lyrics. Combined with the melodic bass, drum and guitars makes for the most one of a kind masterpiece

I saw Stevie by accident. I scored Tom Petty tickets for 3rd row front center seats. The concert was already amazing then she just popped in to sing a few songs with him. Her voice! Even though I had listened to Fleetwood Mac for years, I was still surprised by the power. One of my favorite concerts ever, around 2003. RIP Tom Petty.

The ultimate irony is that Fleetwood Mac wanted Lindsey Buckingham as a guitarist in their band. He insisted on bringing his girlfriend along … the rest is history and beautiful, unforgettable music. Christine Perfect and John McVie plus Mick Fleetwood should not be underestimated or ignored. Listen to Christine’s magnificent harmonies here. John and Mick lay down the foundation for this masterpiece. All five band mates were necessary to make this fabulous music.

The guy who made that viral video is Nathan Apodaca. He made the video after his truck broke down on his way to work, so he got out and hopped on his skateboard, listening to music and drinking Ocean Spray cranberry juice on his way to work. After the video went viral, Ocean Spray loved it so much, they gifted him with a new truck with bottles of cranberry juice in the back. Apodaca, who has Native American ancestry, was later cast in the FX series Reservation Dogs as Uncle Charley. "Dreams" was written for Fleetwood Mac's hugely popular album Rumours, which was written and recorded when nearly all the band members were going through breakups, divorces, using substances or trying to get clean. Mac's husband and wife bass player and keyboardist team John and Christine McVie were going through a bad divorce. Stevie Nicks had left her longtime partner and Mac's guitarist Lindsay Buckingham for an affair with Mac's founder, drummer Mick Fleetwood who was married to another woman at the time. There were a lot of tangled situations going on, a lot of resentment, animosity, broken hearts, etc, but Fleetwood Mac came together and turned it into beautiful music.

There's a handful of albums that are simply perfect. Not a sound or lyric out of place. There's Blue, Hunky Dory & Ommadawn, of course. But I remember hearing this album the week it came out & not only did I fall head over heels with Stevie Nicks, her voice, vibe & pupils like saucers, but I also realised Rumours falls right into my collection of perfect albums. 03:20 There, that's the Stevie Nicks I fell for. Projecting that ethereal, cocaine drenched, oh so erotic beauty while singing like an angel personified. Sometimes wings are made from leather, lace & concealed gracefully beneath a crocheted shawl... To this day that vibe will stop me in my tracks!
@DuncanAndrews-j6v20 сағат бұрын
You should listen to this with its twin - Go Your Own Way. Lindsey Buckingham taking a shot at Stevie, and Dreams was Stevie's reply. Stevie then had a brief fling with Mick Fleetwood and the song Tusk, in reference to Mick's um..... tusk, was the result.
