Lindsay sounds like he is really singing from the heart. I've heard 10-15 maybe twenty versions of this song. I can listen to it everyday I just never get tired of it. That is what makes it a classic in my very humble, uneducated opinion.

Lindsey is probably the only guitarist who can wail on the same note for about 45 seconds and have it still sound more epic than any soulless shredder. There is something about the melodic choices he makes in his solos that no one else has come close to capturing. Maybe Frusciante.

Lyndsey Buckingham was the complete driving force behind so much of the great music FM produced , when Srevie Nicks got him kicked out of the band in 2018 they ceased to exist as far as I'm concerned , the 2 guys they took in to replace him dont even get near to what he created in the live shows , they're just a money making exercise now , and I just hope Lyndsey makes a full recovery from his health problems , he is the man

I was lucky enough to have seen them the night before this recording, on 21st June 1980 at Wembley. They were amazing. I've seen them four times in total, but this was far and away the best. Forty years ago this June; hard to believe!

Awesome song from Fleetwood Mac and written by Lindsey Buckingham. This is one of the better live performances I have heard and indeed as a few comments suggest, it could just be the best. Lindsey's axe playing is on fire here, not to mention his and Stevie's vocals. Earlier live versions of Go Your Own Way are the best for me as it is played more raw, fresh. and the emotive content is so so passionate. Does NOT get any better than this. And don't forget you have a lineup of some of the greatest musicians on the planet in Fleetwood Mac. Oh and before I sign off - also please don't forget the pedigree/ancestry of the band in the one and ONLY Sir Peter Green.

Yes it most definitely is one the best and the way Lindsey plays the guitar is phenomenal in itself I’d like to think the 87-88 tour had a few outstanding versions as well and it’s the best show/concert I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot of concerts but no doubt in my mind that concert at star lake amphitheater in burgettestown Pa was the absolute

The live album 'Tango in the Night' was produced from film from the San Francisco shows (December 12-13) '87. I never rated the album at all.

I've heard many live versions of go your own way, the mirage tour version on the deluxe album is ok but the guitar solo is not great, the one on rumours is good the live one deluxe album is good, but this one is possibly the best one

What a mess of a mix ... still, it's hard to make sloppy singing sound good. Contrary to others I found the guitar solo pretty boring. Quite frankly, I dunno why people acclaim Lindsay Buckingham. Pretty average muso. Fleetwood Mac were always more hype than talent, imo. Their chart toppers were simple pop-rock with catchy hooks. Mick Fleetwood could have done better to find others to play with.

Didn't find it "hugely talented" at all -- just a fast repetitive guitar riff with horrible screaming vocals from someone who seems like a bit of a tortured soul. You need to learn to discern between subjective opinion and objective fact.

@@iestynlovatt8395 My judgement of objective fact is based on my 60 years of listening to pop and rock and classical and folk music (and amateur skill on a guitar) that can easily compare the range of musical skills of many players. Too many younger people confuse what they like with what is good; what is popular with what is good; what is emotionally overwrought with sincere human passions. So many people bung on about " ... so and so is so underrated ...". I have long thought FM was overrated. Yeah, Mick Fleetwood is a good drummer, but certainly not highly innovative or up there with the greats. People confuse "great drumming" with a pop tune and and an enticing rhythm section which gets you up and dancing. Yes, he has been around since the 60s. Yes, he has written and performed many charting hits. Yes, FM sold many records and won awards. Yes, he had very public, controversial and torrid affairs with gorgeous blonde singers. But Lindsay Buckingham, by any objective comparison IS NOT a highly skilled, nor highly rated, nor highly acclaimed player by those who know great music. Sorry, but again, YOU are confusing personal taste with actual talent. Get over it.
