You're right. This is where Neil's strenght lies: in soft pop songs. (I like several of Neil's own songs.) ... But when it comes to Lindsey's OWN songs "Go Your Own Way" and "Second Hand News", plus Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" (where Lindsey and Stevie used to share lead vocal duties), Neil comes short. Noone can sing (and play) those songs like Lindsey can.

Love Welch-Era. Great that they did this one. Too bad FwM left Welch out of their induction into the R&R HoF in 1998. What a travesty !!!!!
@TheJohnnyCotts4 жыл бұрын
I'd love to know how they decide who gets in with a band induction. Sometimes they only induct the classic lineup, sometimes they induct everyone. When the Rolling Stones got inducted, they included Ian Stewart, a guy who wasn't officially a member of the band once they started making records. When the Grateful Dead were inducted, they included lyricist Robert Hunter. When the Moody Blues went in, they included Denny Laine (who was only on their first album, a record that too many don't even remember) but not Patrick Moraz. In the case of Fleetwood Mac, I can understand leaving out Bob Welch and Bob Weston, as that period (post-Peter Green, pre-Stevie Nicks) was their least successful era. They were barely selling enough records to keep their record deal.

Great tune, and well sung by Neil Finn. It's a shame that Fleetwood Mac only played it 6 times, right at the beginning of their 2018-19 world tour. They made a lot of noise before they hit the road, about playing material from their entire career, but most of those earlier tunes fell out of the setlist as the tour went on. Unfortunately, the people paying big bucks to see them in giant venues want the big hits, and not songs from their past that they don't know, even if they are great. Sad.
