I was there. And I'm still alive. That was like a million years ago. It was so hot that day, they sprayed us with fire hoses all day. Then as the sun is setting and it cools off Fleetwood Mac come out and give us this epic set. One of my life's greatest memories.

yep, I got up early to be like 3 people deep from the stage, sat thru the dead early, everybody was wasted by the evening. Jackson Browne was the lead in to this. Lindsay was and is one bad ass guitar player.

This is certainly the classic line up, but the most underrated member of Fleetwood Mac is Christine McVie. She was so important to the song arrangements and production. Her warm soulful voice balanced out the shrillness of Stevie and Lindsay. She kept her professionalism and maturity amongst the chaos of this era. It's criminal her songs are absent from this video. Fleetwood Mac was so much more than Stevie and Lindsay and their reality show drama.

you can seeeeee their pain, their shit. on stage. and thats beautiful in its rawness. legit comment. feels. i remember my dad donning our fake bearskin rug and tribal dancing to tusk when we lived in west covina at this gorgeous ranch house in the early n mid 80s. i still have my parents, also in theor 70s. almost makes me want to msg my now eatranged father and drive to my moms to hig her. lucky enough to live less than a mile from mom though now in oregon, astoria. goonies territory. :) ty for posting this. makes me mist up all these years after the post. thats a hallmark of a solid band, imo.

I’m from Australia. I saw them at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. I wasn’t so lucky with seating. I was two rows from the back. Lindsay said you’re out of sight 😉. I truly was. Big picture screens helped. I’m going to a cover band this weekend, keeping the Dream alive 👆

Holy cow. Who was the lousy sound engineer at the US Festival? Poor Stevie. I learned recently that this was the beginning of in ear monitors, and it clearly was not working well for her! Couldn't hear Lindsey on The Chain. You barely hear the piano on Don't Stop. It wasn't until Gypsy that she started to sing well, only to come undone in Rhiannon -- she tried, but what a disaster THAT was! Nearly blew her head off with feedback. They played Gypsy far better here than at the last show at the Forum on the Mirage tour. In spite of the messy sound, the musicians were all in top form. Mick and John were at their tightest peak here. Better than in 2014 when Christine came back. Mick was really off in the beginning of that concert I saw on YT. And Lindsey is total killer here. He's always been great. RIP Christine.

@@spinalcrackerbox The drama I would think he’s referring to is that Steveie was wasted on something and it wasn’t cocaine or pot marijuana she was forgetting her words it was a joke and I said something in the message and people said they were having sound issues sound issues or not those are her words that she may those are her songs you don’t forget them sound issues or not and if it was sound issues then Lindsay wouldn’t of been giving her dirty looks you could tell he was pissed his happy chipper jumping around in earlier songs came to a complete stop and he was just standing there trying to not show to the audience that he was pissed Mc was pissed you could see it John hides in the back so couldn’t see him Christine it wasn’t jumping around either being happy and bouncy like she normally is she was still in very straight faced was not a sound issue I can’t even imagine what the hell she took to be able to be that discombobulated on the stage and then walking away on top of it how many times that one concert could’ve threw the whole group into the trash thank God that all happened that long ago and it was cocaine and drug years back then were acceptable to a certain extent put that group into today’s era and they would be finished kaput and destroyed with social media and the news media I really getting sick and tired of cell phones and social networking and fake news and cameras and phones nobody knows how to mind their own damn business

Lindsey also had that edgy deep eerie blues guitar that gave mystery and raw grit to the band as opposed to Stevie's Christine's polish. Add Stevie's deep lyrics and Christine's pop ear. Mick's percussive Gene Krupa recreation on toms added mystery. Great combo of diverse talents. My teenage years had a lot of Fleetmac Mac during the 70s, they had their formula.

the sound engineers have a real hard start here, as if they only just start the soundcheck which normally is done hours before the gig when the venue is still without audience. But FlMac can't be distracted by anything, they nail it, are incredible musicians and singers, and the electricity exploding decades later from a basic video like this is still unbelievable, they done they non-erasable part to music in the world

This show was way off vocally it sounded like everyone was just out there singing out of key and anything they could think of. It was a disaster! I love Stevie but her voice is pretty much shot. She sang Gypsy OK my favorite song by them. But they were messed up on meth too. They've done better but this isn't the first time they sounded like this. Rhiannon was real off Stevies voice just can't do it anymore and she's still young her voice is so rough and low she almost couldn't get some of it out. I feel so bad for her.

This Video was recorded during The US Festival in San Bernardino in 1982. I remember it was a 3-day event. Each day they selected a different kind of group depending on their kind of music. This was the 3rd day it was for Rockers or 'Heavy Metal' such as Van Halen Judas Priest and others. I love Fleetwood Mac!

Wrong year. The Van Halen and Judas Priest "Metal Day" was Memorial Day Sunday 1983. Fleetwood Mac played the last day at the 1982 US Festival Labor Day weekend, along with Jackson Browne and Grateful Dead.
