Amazing what happens when you attack to the end rather than try to defend a lead for half an hour. For all the criticism CA rightly got last Monday, he deserves the plaudits today. And the way that Ronan took that first goal was genuine quality.

Walsall fan (the one who said hello about 20 minutes before kick-off). Other than the first 20 minutes that was probably the worst performance all-round that I've seen from Walsall in a very long time (and we lost to Sutton 4-0 away last season by half time). I think the 1st goal jolted us a bit and then we saved face with Jamma's goal, then the penalty made everyone lose their heads. The second half was a showcase of how having the youngest squad in the league is a double-edged sword, as the total naivety of the defence was plain to see. The goals that we conceded are ones that we don't normally concede, but it looked by the fourth goal that our players just couldn't be arsed to be there. However, that shouldn't take away the quality performance you lot put in. Your attacks, while few and far between at times, looked dangerous every time and the tempo of your press made it difficult for us to link any decent play in the second half and a good chunk of the first. Play like that every week and you'll absolutely be up there come April. Fingers crossed it's given our lads a reality check that if you don't turn up against a good side you can be punished and we won't get a performance like that again. All the best for the rest of the season.

Still early days but I said to many before the season started i had a funny feeling Charlie Adam was a yes a novice manager but was going to do a proper job with Fleetwood which i never felt at all with the half dozen before him.Injuries will be the most difficult fight to Charlie and the team have to deal with we need luck with that definitely but the direction is up well done so far Cod squad and its army.
