In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 12 we explained the difference between Fleming's left hand rule and Fleming's right hand rule. According to popular belief the left hand rule is applicable to electric motors and the right hand rule is applicable to electric generators (AC and DC). But the left hand rule is a fundamental rule and the right hand rule is not.
Fleming’s left hand rule :- It states that if the fore-finger, middle finger and the thumb of left hand are stretched mutually perpendicular to each other, such that fore-finger points in the direction of magnetic field, the middle finger points in the direction of the motion of positive charge, then the thumb points in the direction of the force experienced by the charge.
Fleming’s right hand rule :- It states that if the fore-finger, middle finger and the thumb of right hand are stretched mutually perpendicular to each other, such that fore-finger points in the direction of magnetic field, the thumb points in the direction of the force applied to the arm of the coil, then the middle finger points in the direction of the induced current.

Best explaination ever! Sir, can you please tell that when we increase the length of wire, it is said that the magnetic field strength increases, but as the length of wire is increased, resistance should increase and therefore current should decrease. Then, magnetic field strength should have decreased but it is not so. Why?

If the distance between two magnets with like poles gets smaller, then the repelling force between them will get bigger, because the force between two magnets gets stronger as they get closer together, and weaker as they get farther apart.

Any magnetic field that you apply has an influence on the trajectories of the electrons in the conductor. It leads to the concept called magnetoresistance. The result is normally an increase in resistance with increased magnetic field.

Guyz the main thing is left hand rule is only on positive charge and right hand focus on negative charge. So right hand left hand confusion occurs

I'm still confused when to use RHR & LHR. I stuck to the numericals while solving, such as magnetic field between two wires and all.. I don't know when to use RHR and LHR, and both gives different result in that situation. I wish to get pdf or proper details of the topic.. And would you please make a video of Electromagnetic wave such that it explains the direction of Electric and Magnetic field.. Thank you... :)

This video doesn't explain the difference but it just tells us the advantage of LHR over RHR and just simply recommends to use the LHR. So here maybe this will help.. It may be that different places explain you differently about these rules so stick to one of this so that you are not confused. This is my way: LHR is used in electromagnetism when we are providing current and magnetic field and we get a force as a result of the combination RHR is used when we are talking about electromagnetic induction (means when we are creating current from force and magnetic field) so here we are providing force and magnetic field to get the current. Points to remember when you are using both of these rules.. These rules are for '+' charged particles so if you are asked about an electron which is '-' ly charged in both cases (RHR or LHR) once you get the direction of current flip it in the opposite direction so that you get the direction of the electron. Both hands are mirror image of each other.. Thumb- motion or Force direction First Finger- Magnetic Field direction Second Finger- Current direction (for both hands) F I / \ M C

Actually your explanation is not properly correct.....There are two co-ordinate system in cross product 1. Left hand system and 2. Right hand system Here in left hand we should used right hand system and left hand system in right hand . There are no fault or less fundamentality in laws . This two types of system in cross product occur bcz of two types of rotation, anticlockwise for right hand system and clockwise for left hand system. Hope you gays will find it in higher study .
