Great job. This brings back many memories. My wife and I have sailed from Valdez and explored much of the inside passage to Seattle for two summers. Now our boating days are over but can relive some of it through your videos.

Stunning video! Not just great photography but also excellent narration. Appreciate that you allow your viewers to drink in the vivid scenes and not “over-describe” what’s on the screen. Thank you!

Your videos are beautiful. They calm way you shoot them makes it all the more enjoyable. The amazing this is that they are done from the deck of a fairly small yacht. Makes your route and access to the shallows so much more exciting. Please keep up the good work.

I live year-round here in Alaska (near Juneau), and I can tell everyone checking your channel out that what you have captured in your videos are a true representation of the beauty I enjoy all year every year. I never tire of the beauty and grandeur that surrounds me every day. From the blue of a freshly-calved ice flow to the pinks, salmons, and golds of a summer sunset there is no equal anywhere else. I can say this because I have lived in (or visited) many places in both the U.S. and Europe. Thank you for sharing a truly beautiful experience.

Another perfect video of incredible beauty yet you underscore that exploring this beauty comes with danger and requires diligence. I can’t imagine Venture being attacked by a random ice floe. What you do isn’t all fun and games. But what you produce is a true gift to your community. Thank you Tony. Looking forward to Chapter 6

Loved this one, Tony. It brought back many wonderful memories of my own trip to Tracy Arm in September 2014. I thought it was one of the most peaceful and magical places I have been fortunate enough to visit. We were unable to get get near the Sawyer glacier as our entry was blocked by a huge iceberg on the last bend before it and the Norwegian Sky was unable to get around it. So thank you for sharing your own trip to the glacier to show me what was around that bend. 🤗

I am glad you enjoyed the video. Conditions change all the time. Ford's Terror - just around the corner in Endicott Arm is my favourite spot. We could not enter it in 2018 but there is a short video about it at: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moTRpmVvh7iGpZo

What a wonderful adventure! An absolutely stunning landscape. How very fortunate you are for having this experience. For ease of viewing, here is a link to the video he indicated at the 16:00 mark; kzbin.info/www/bejne/nX2xY2yModqWkMk Warning! You may find watching with sound muted is best. One observer is extremely repetitious with her exclamations! ("Oh my god" over and over and over etc.)
@jeffross54244 жыл бұрын
watched the link on the calving glacier...had to mute due to that woman not shutting up, amazing though
@briantravelman3 жыл бұрын
I don't know why but every adventure video seems more dramatic when it's voiced with a deep English accent. I felt like I was watching a National Geographic expedition from the 80s.

Good stuff dude. This guy sounds like his dad was Alfred Hitchcock. It's nice to pontificate how horrible global warming is while he taking his boat with an internal combustion engine all over Alaska but he is not contributing to the problem.

It's Glacier, not "glassier"! (Glade, grade, spade)
@FlemingYachts5 жыл бұрын
Glacier derives from the French word "Glace" meaning ice. I speak with an English accent which follows the original pronounciation. To use this one word with the US variant from the original would be inconsistent and therefore incorrect.
@paparayg5 жыл бұрын
@@FlemingYachts - The whole point of your narration is to effectively communicate your ideas to your audience. I'm 79 years old, spent 20 years overseas, and you are the very first one I've heard using the word Glassier instead of Glacier. Your audience is mostly American who speak the English variant of us commoners. Many words are not exactly pronounced as they are spelled, but everyone pronounces it the same way. This is called "common usage", By far, the "normal" common usage of the word Glacier is understood everywhere in English speaking countries. Only superior people speaking "High English" would pronounce it Glassier. I do have some experience with language, I used to be a German language interpreter.
@FlemingYachts5 жыл бұрын
@@paparayg Well I am 84 years old and have spent 60 years overseas. The British pronounciation of the word is as I pronounced it which makes it consistent with the way I pronounce the rest of the narration. I never heard it pronounced the American way until i came to the states. It makes no sense to me to pick one word out of the entire narration to promounce it the American way. My dictionary also says that it is the correct pronounciation. There are nearly 22,742 subscribers to our You Tube site and only one other person has ever objected to the way I pronounce it. To judge from the stats those who watch my videos come from all around the globe - not just from the USA.
@ArtGardenFoodExpressions5 жыл бұрын
@@FlemingYachts Why do you entertain the silly American. You know how we are here. I would have ignored him. He couldn't see the beauty in the video for injecting his misery and picking out a word he deems is pronounced incorrectly. Blows my mind. There is not ONE THING I would change about the way you narrate. I love your videos so much, this is my second go at watching them. I have been craving masterpieces like yours, and please do not change.
