Its because of the way he played and hit at that insane speed that caused the injuries. He only played at that one speed . Which is why he is a legend to me. He was clearly a great player and he was gonna be far better then someone like Dawkins. If Dawkins could have played at that speed and hit the way he did at that power hed of had a short career too. Most guys couldn't hit like him if they tried he was a defensive running back. But even if they could have done what Sanders did and played that physical they wouldn't have they'd of played it safe for longer careers but he was unique and that's how he played up until the end. I respect that. And he was a fs in the beginning of his career with colts and later became a ss.and he played the run like a fs but was a ball hawk too watch his highlights around the years they played Chicago in super bowl.

I don't think this video did much justice to the impact Sanders had in that Chiefs game the year Indy won the Super Bowl. KC was the best rushing offense in the league that season and that was Bob's first game back off an injury and kept them to less than 50 total rushing yards that game. While he didn't necessarily have the best game himself there was a very visible difference for the whole Colts defensive side of the ball.

Bob Sanders wasn't a 'good' DB, not a 'good' safety, he was OUTSTANDING!! The things he could have accomplished had he not been so injured makes me wonder. For being 5'8 he hit like a 6'3 All Pro linebacker. He was the best 'small safety' I've ever seen in the NFL. Had he played even 13 games per season over his career his legend would be even bigger than it is now. Incredible player who controlled the defense.

I'm sorry for both of you ic he was your guy. Thats sad. I just had to say it. Dude wasn't that good and hardly played. Thats like a kid in Baltimore talkin about how amazing tayvon young is.

Throwing shade at others whose influences apparently weren’t good or relevant enough for you is a bizarre thing to put out there in a public comments section bruh

i knew he was officially done when he only lasted 4 plays in 2010, one of the greatest to ever play tho

Patriots fans remember him. Legit one of the players you feared as a pats fan, he was such an animal. Was a shame his body couldnt hold up to his style of play, he was a ton of fun to watch.

Man Bob was annoying to watch as a Jags fan, but his talent was immense!

This video reminds me of Sterling Sharpe, a man that could have retired as arguably the best ever WR if he stayed healthy.

Found your channel just recently, saw a couple videos and had to see if you had one on Bob. I loved watching this dude play. I was a fan a Peyton at Tenn and when he went to Indy, I got the pleasure of watching a healthy Bob Sanders. Dude really was on another level. Every single play, if he wasn't making the tackle, he was about to be, driving dude back so they couldn't fall forward. He was so amazing but ever single snap he played, even as a kid, I was like how is this dude not injured on every single play? Honest!y, the fact he made it through any games at any level without hurting himself was incredible all to itself. Lolz. Loving the content though man.

Was sooo often injured. When he was on the field he was one of the best to ever do it... and I’m a pats fan... hated that dude but respected him greatly
