Living in Utah, this cat has been one of the biggest celebrities in recent memory. Following his legend throughout college and then watching the draft and waiting and then seeing the Packers call him up, the hype only grew. Seeing him do so much with the saints is unbelievable. One of the local news channels runs a segment called "locals in the NFL" and every week people are tuning in to see Taysom. It's absolutely insane to see his hype build with people referring to him as "a created player". I love seeing him grow and I'm glad this man is having a chance at his dream after so many set backs

I’m a lifelong saints fan since back in the bag head days. I loving having Taysom on the roster. Guy is a baller and is tough as nails. He kind of came out of nowhere and can play just about any position on the field. The funny thing is no matter how tough the road has been for him to get there he always has a huge smile on his face. This video makes me even more happy about my Tigers squashing Utah State.

One little known fact is that Taysom also played under 3 Offensive Coordinators. Each off-season he spent rehabbing and learning a whole new offense. I feel like this stunted his growth as a QB to gain better passing numbers. Fantastic video! It was fun to watch this from a 3rd party non-bias perspective. I am a huge BYU fan so I saw his story first hand. You did a great job with the video.

Hey FlemLo as a BYU fan easily my fav video of yours ever. Not sure if anyone has commented this already but the drop off in 2016 mostly came from a head coaching change which led to a change from a no huddle spread offense to a pro style offense under Ty Detmer that just wasn’t good a well run system by the coaches. Second Taysom is forever a loved BYU legend and I still remember his 2014 injury as maybe the worst football game I’ve ever watched as were #18 and taysom was beginning a heisman campaign. Awesome video man love your work.

This is amazing and so well researched. It was sooo refreshing as a BYU fan who followed every snap it’s fun to see it accurately portrayed. An additional bit of info...The first two injuries against Utah State were caused by the same player.... Also a major reason his production was down his final year was a new coaching staff, totally new offense and as you stated he was asked to be much more conservative. Ironically it was the last game of the year vs Utah State that he really was playing the style he normally played, and his injury was on an insanely athletic leap over the line..

As a BYU fan...I can say I’m now a huge Saints fan. All because of Taysom, I watched his story first hand and watched two of the USU injuries live. It’s true Taysom struggled with consistent efficiency but there’s another fact you need to remember. Not only did he only have one full season of play he only had one full off season to train. He spent almost every off season rehabbing instead of improving as a QB. So although his numbers weren’t amazing considering the circumstances he did really well. Imagine if he was able to improve each off season with no injury?!?!! If you want to want to see what Taysom is as a QB and his potential just watch the Houston game at Houston and Texas game at Texas. Again not the best efficiency numbers but the leadership, athleticism, and just football grit is on full display

One Time oh man I don’t know. Payton has pretty much cemented his offense around Taysom being a 3rd string QB. I mean he’s listed as #2 but he sure didn’t go in for Brees against the niners. Unless Payton makes a change this week with Taysom leading the offense I think it’s safe to bet that He’s not the future QB of the saints. But I don’t think Winston is either, I think they’re going to draft a new one hoping to get one more year from Brees to mentor him

Thanks for doing video. I went to all of Taysom’s games as a diehard BYU fan growing up. I actually ended up playing ball for Utah State as a kicker, so this situation I know very well! Taysom was a BEAST! I remember him scoring 6 rushing touchdowns combined in the 2 games he played Texas and in one of those games he rushed for 259 yards. Hoping his career in the NFL is a long one!

As a BYU fan, what you all probably missed was he did it all with absolutely no weapons. The year after he graduated, BYU had the worst season in 40 years. He is one of the hardest working most loyal human beings on earth. Saints got themselves a freaking steal on him. Mark my words, this kid will change the game. The only fault he has is his tendency to run instead of scramble in the pocket. If he fixes that, he's going to be unstoppable.
