Honestly that's how they should've gone. Hell, made a trilogy out of Apocalypse. End Part l with the opening scene in the actual movie. End Part ll at the Cerebro scene where Apocalypse takes over Charles's mind. And have Part lll kill Apocalypse but it leads into the next 2 part film: Phoenix and Dark Phoenix.

Apocalypse is a young boy in this scene, he is technically the first mutant and this scene is supposedly wayyyyyyyyy before the X-Men we know (wolverine, ProfessorX, Magneto) existed, that's why he is young, he is probably going to get is "buff/armored" appearance later on in the movie probably when they battle

En Sabah Nur...En Sabah Nur. It took me a minute to figure out what they were chanting. I love this glimpse at the introduction of Apocalypse. He has always been my favorite Marvel villain since I was kid. I've been waiting for this for a LONG time. Also, if you look at him closely when they show his profile with the Four Horsemen in the background, he looks like a preteen boy. ***** Because they don't own the rights to any of the good ones!! They've been trying to make big moments using C-list villains and that's always gonna be difficult. Loki, Red Skull, Ultron, Thanos were/are all great. Ronan was good too but they killed him off too soon before you really got to see what he could do. Also, having said that, there have been 7 Xmen movies including the Wolverine movies and the only Xmen villain I can name you from any of those is Magneto. SPOILER - - - Apocalypse was fucking nerfed, like Xavier in all x men movies. Apocalypse can turn buildings to dust but he didn't use it against the X-Men. He could have just decapitated everyone like in the alley. There was no urgency to him transferring his mind. He could easily kill all the x men (even before Jean using the nonsense phoenix) and then take Charles. Poor writing, that's all. And obviously he's not weak ..... Phoenix killed him with the help of Magneto, Storm and Scott.

Kate Laufey I think it gave him a bit of Justice though Magneto moved the whole earth and couldn't break his shield, Charles got his ass kicked in his own game. quicksilver wasn't that quick, and almost all of them got killed so I think it showed how strong he is

xmen in general has cultural influences, stan lee based some characters of of real life people or stories. like apocolypse is supposed to be the first mutant and he built the pyramids, because even in todays time we still dont know forsure how they where built. and the horsemen in the back are biblical inspirations. magneto and professor X were based on malcom X and martin luther king. charles is MLK of course and magneto is malcom x. and the mutants are supposed to be black people( in a sense, civil rights movement)

SPOILER ALERT... Why all the hate on the Apocalypse movie? It was well done in my opinion. Could he have been more intimidating like Thanos in Avengers? Yes. However, we see how powerful he really is when he fights the X-Men and Brotherhood at the end. All of their powers (Magneto, Storm, Professor X with enhanced powers) combined were not enough to defeat him. Had Jean Grey not been there to unleash her true power, he would have taken over the world and wiped away humanity. Also, something that went against him is that unlike Avengers (who kept hinting at Thanos being the ultimate villain in multiple movies), Apocalypse was completely non-existent in the cinematic storyline and all mutants on the planet so the "hype" wasn't necessarily there either. People are saying that it didn't showcase how powerful he truly was, however, he was trying to save mutant life if all possible. He took one look at humanity to literally turn everything into dust. He could have easily done the same against the mutants, but that was not his objective. His plan was to control all mutants and all other beings by taking Professor X's powers which Jean Grey prevented from happening. Unlike Thanos, he wasn't trying to eliminate half of the universe, he was just trying to eliminate the human race as they had "taken the Earth". In addition, I thought the four horseman storyline was well done along with the storyline for Magneto and the X-Men. I think if they wanted it to be a true success they would have had to make into two movies like Infinity War. Unfortunately, the X-Men movies are not as popular as the Avengers movies so that probably wasn't a feasible option. Overall, I am a huge fan of the movie after being reading the X-Men comics growing up. Could it have been better? Yes. However, it's still a solid film.
