I love the Very Hungry Caterpillar! Eric Carle (the Catepillar artist) is one of my grandmother's good friends. He was married to her childhood best friend Bobbie, and my Nana bought the house Bobbie grew up in. Now I live in that house! And my whole house is decorated in Eric Carle paintings! His books are great for kids- my brother and I loved them growing up!

One Tip from an already ( and pregnant ) mom :) If she finds one particular blankie interesting, buy more than one of that spesific one ... ❤️ My son uses a rabbit blankie and I have 7 of it ❤️❤️ If you Get spit up, milk, food, poop.. etc On It ... U need to have Back up ones :) I’m expecting My second now as u know, and I have that in mind for this one too :) Another clever mom gave me this advise :)

My friend did this with the chosen teddy (a cat) but her little girl somehow managed to find out about the second teddy and demands to carry round both. Teddy is now called “TwoCat”

Why are people so offended that Fleur hasn't shared the baby's name with us?? Many parents wait until after the baby is born. My sister did with both her kids. I think for some it's a bad luck/superstitious thing in case something goes wrong. And also naming a baby is a big decision, and people can change their minds constantly up until the baby has arrived so they can choose a name to suit the baby. I really don't know why people have such an issue with it. As much as she may respect and be grateful for her viewers, she doesn't know any of us and we aren't her family and friends. With the judgmental comments about her not sharing the name, I can only imagine the ones she will get once the name is revealed with people thinking it's their place to judge and criticize, so I don't blame her for waiting as long as possible to be honest.

That is really strange! It's like people nowadays just don't have the patience to wait untill after birth to find out about the name. In the end, although it sometimes feels like we know Fleur personally, we really don't! I'm also pregnant, and we don't know the sex of the baby and so also haven't decided on a name yet, and it is surprising how many people are offended when I tell them we don't know baby's sex/name yet!

Honestly I do not think they are offended, she was being a bit melodramatic about concealing the name like we are all dying to know when in reality other than her family + friends no one cares that much to know beyond basic curiosity. Weddings + Babies stir up all different sorts of emotions in people ... you really cannot think too much about what anyone says and I'm sure Fleur knows that by now.

Oh, I love There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly. My mom is a retired teacher of children age 8/9 (in the USA we call that 3rd grade) and she read that book to her students for just a fun quick book to read. I highly, highly recommend you buy a book from Amazon called The 20th Century Children's Book Treasury. It is a hardback book full of tons of children's books. I think you will like it so much that you may even want your Mom to have a copy for when your daughter spends the nights with her Grandparents.

It is so lovely to read my son their books and read the lovely messages that people wrote to him. Good luck with your birth and enjoy these last few weeks before all the fun starts.
