So this kit can wipe modules clean for use of programming to another vehicle?

Pretty much. Say for example you have a failed injector driver in your ECU. Your ECU is either extremely expensive or no longer available. You can get a second hand ECU that is already programmed to another car. Then clone your original ECU to this ECU as it will erase the ECU and write your cloned data to it.
