Also, afaik - Phil Swift is an incredibly cool guy when it comes to the internet making memes about his products. He knows people do it and he doesnt care because it makes him laugh. I think there is a video on youtube somewhere where he's on some talk show or being interviewed and the whole thing about him being a meme comes up and he talks about it.

It’s also incredibly good marketing. Basically everyone knows what flexseal is and how it works. You can’t pay for advertising that good.

@@yucatansuckaman5726 idk. Some people are just egotistical douchebags and will attack anyone who uses their likeness as a meme For instance, Even Disney abuses the copyright system to strike down fan made stuff all the time. I've tried just about everything trying to increased the grippyness. My first go-to is to heat up a wound guitar strings red hot and laying in to melt lines across the top. It works okay, but you have to get the right pattern or it's irritating. Rubber cement works, but it tends to peel off easily. I REALLY like the Dava picks, I always buy a few whenever I have up go to a store for Strings (I order them, my brand and gauge are NEVER in stock when I go to a shop, so I have up buy a set of Pure nickels in 10 & 11 gauge to mix heavy Low-E/A and Gs, and light D/B and High-E, ala GHS Eric Johnson nickel rockers). My problem is I prefer JAZZ IIIs, and they only ever have the standard Fender shape picks. *I'm willing to wager that SOMEONE will send you a can of that Flex Seal. I've used it an it is fu¢king amazing (though I used it as it was intended, didn't try to make my picks have better grip, but I will)
@cembellsteve Жыл бұрын
My trick to non-slip picks. Take some DA sand paper with an adhesive backing. Cut the shape out with scissors. Peal tape off to expose the glue side. Stick it to the pick on both sides with the tip exposed. You can also use Band aide tape on one side and the sand paper on the other.

Haven't watched the video to the end yet but regarding 0:48: there's no WD40 drumstick but for example Gore company (that makes Gore-tex and tons of other products) makes Elixir Strings. There's company in Poland that makes very common cash-registers and at some point introduced guitar effects brand (G-Lab). I'm too lazy to think about other examples but I'm sure there's more.
