Excellent highlight of the things that have been resolved. [multi blades coming out at the same time and over insertion causing the back lock to get stuck in] Also better more comfortable scales for grip. These are the exact issues I have at the moment with my existing knife.

Want me a carvin jack 2.0! I liked it before but now with that Pelican knife makes it even more desirable.. thanks Brian another great video, I always get new information from your channel 👍🏼! Also just FYI it's now been 11 months since I watched your Fox tutorial and I wish I could send you photos because I haven't stopped carving since. I have since acquired myself a set of Helvies (& tons more🔪), bought myself alot of good Heineken wood.. I carve everyday without fail♡. Surprisingly I'm pretty good at it. Looks like a whole new life path opening up for me. I hope to be able to carve for the rest of my time on this planet 🌎 So just wanted to thank you and let you know what your doing here makes waves🌊!

I really like the change in the carving jack. Also you can adjust the pivot, setting the tools tighter when the get a bit wobbly after using then. The only downside on the aluminum handle is, my hand gets a bit stinky. 😁

Great video, thanks. I like my chisel on my carving jack and will not be upgrading it or at least not right now. I did finally pull the trigger on a 2.0 spoonjack. I am glad they up graded it with the Pelican blade. I know I am going to like it. I was planning on getting the 3 bladed spoon jack one day. Glad now it has 4 blades with the Pelican blade as the extra tool. It's like having your cake and eating it to. Now I will have 4 different knives in my collection of Flexcut Carving Jack knives. I think that just about covers every different blade offered in the folding carving jack knife category. The only one knife I will not have is the 2 bladed nonlocking jack knife, the Whittlen Jack. But I do not need it yet as the other knives I believe have those blades already. As a right handed person I bought the right handed 6 bladed carving jack. But I think I heard you or someone saying having both, as a right hander, is good. Using both a left and right handed carving jack, was good for some reason that I can not remember. I think if I remembered that reason I could use that as a excuse to justify me adding the new left handed 6 blade carving jack 2.0 to my collection. I real only need one little reason to add another Flexcut Carving Jack to my collection at this point. Like Victorinox SAK'S I believe that you can never have to many different Flexcut folding Carving Jacks. 🔪

I liked the 2.0 from the beginning. Now, a few months later, I don't like, I love it! I still don't have the compleet collection. But I'm working on\for it! 💪

If anyone in British Columbia or Alberta is looking for the 2.0 versions of these I just found out that you can get them form KMS Tools. On their website they only show the Pcket Jack 2.0 but if you go into the store they have the others as a special order.

I have the original and it will hurt your hand and it’s easy to cut yourself. That said it nice to have it where ever I go. Iv carved in parking lots waiting, hotel rooms, into a trash can, in the woods and just sitting in my truck waiting for my grandson.

Im about to buy my first knife, what’s a good blade size to start with?
@CarvingisFun2 жыл бұрын
Many people consider a 1.75 inch long blade to be a great all around blade length for whittling and the knives I use the most are exactly that length. Otherwise, knives between 1.5 inches and 2 inches will more than get the job done as well.

Dude did you just say that there's a multi carving knife. I now have a new mission. I must find this, and purchase it. I just want you to know it's your fault🤣🤣🤣 Wait I'm divorced now he no longer controls me I can do whatever I want I can buy whatever I want. Sorry that just triggered me, and i had a jarring revolution. It feels oh so good thank you. You're probably gonna say it in the video, but could you write me back and tell me Where you got this amazing tool from, I have a very short attention span.🤣🤣🤣

Ha! Well if you want to grab one I have links in the video description or you can search them up on Amazon or buy directly from Flexcut themselves.

@@CarvingisFun Have you gotten the one from Amazon do you like it? Most of the things from Amazon,I've liked only a couple of things have disappointed me. I have a bit of a request, I recently lost my pet raccoon and wanted a way to keep him with me so to speak, I was wondering if you could make a raccoon carving tutorial if at all possible
@CarvingisFun2 жыл бұрын
I could, but it would honestly look very similar to my fox tutorial. I even get plenty of people saying their fox turned out more like a racoon in the end. With some minor modifications like a shorter, less pointed face and a thicker body, it would be a racoon super quick.

Its still a dooshy move. Im sure many of the owners of the version 1.0 feel cheated, and are not interested in the 2.0, knowing they will be cheated when version 3.0 drops.
@CarvingisFun2 жыл бұрын
It feels the same as smart phones and cars to me. A new and improved one comes out every year that makes previous versions less desirable.
@alfonsedente96792 жыл бұрын
Cars, phones and software can be traded-in, upgraded, and patched. Most multi-tools sell newer parts to swap-out the broken or unused parts. Guns too.
@CarvingisFun2 жыл бұрын
Dont get me wrong, I see your point but what Im getting at here is that Im not really bothered by it. Ive had plenty of things like graphics cards, CPUs, knives, guns, and other countless bits of tech and gadgets get updated/upgraded/replaced with no tradein or replacement options. Still, I buy them knowing that they will be obsolete at some point and am happy with what I have. My view is that they are making better items then there is progress. If I were to get upset and demand to be taken care of each time something I bought, and was very happy with, got upgraded it wouldn't make buying something neat that enjoyable for me. Heck. The paintball industry is like that and I have spent $20k - $30k in the last 20 years on new hear knowing that within a years time if I were to sell off my gear (of which I did often) I could expect maybe half of what I paid for and applied that to the next things I wanted. Not all companies and industries have the capability to take hits for customer service. Still, you can always ask the company if they can make an exception on a case by case basis if it is important to you. To each their own, but in the end something like this is of no issue to me, even if I have already given Flexcut thousands of dollars already I don't feel like they owe me anything.
@alfonsedente96792 жыл бұрын
If they really cared, they would have taken all the new tools, and put them all together to make 1 new folder.
