Thanks for showing the tool. The only problem with your demo is the lack of safety for beginners. A cut proof glove & finger protection is a must.

Are flexcut and old timer the only makers of multi- keyed carving- knives?

I have wanted to get a Carving Jack but was worried that it would be uncomfortable after some time when doing a project. Is the individual knives significantly better for ergonomics or only slightly better?
@mattthatsme87997 жыл бұрын
I only own the tri jack....but the individual knives are FAR superior in comfort...I can only imagine how awkward the carving jack is with its damn near double the width to the tri jack

Are you relatively new to carving? it looks like you might be, but maybe that tool is under sharpened or the wood is harder than you are saying? Just wondering. I knoe a spoon isn't a snap your fingers and it's done, and you look more comfortable with the standard tools than with the pocket carving tool. Hkw is the comfort level of the multitool vs thw traditional ones?

Thomas Russell the traditional tools are naturally better , but in a pinch the carving jack works well . It works much better on green wood
