the curls are popping but there is a lot of flakes, I can see the white stuff showing on camera. its hard to find stuff that don't flake.

The 4 in 1 styler doesn’t pair well with that gel. It’s a very drying combination. You have to use something really moisturizing under it. I haven’t figured out what that might be yet though. That 4 in 1 pairs beautifully with all my MC gels as a curl cream.
