Thanks, it was a difficult morning with some great conditions, but I was just in the wrong location. So I tried to make the best of it 😀 Thanks for watching and your comment grt guido

Grt guido

They are not mistakes, they are "learning opportunities" you are providing yourself and sharing.

That's a good way to see it. That's the whole reason why I released this video. First, I thought I'd throw it away, but in the end, I think it's good for everyone to show the good and the bad. I don't want to be the kind of channel that only shows the best of the best. These trips happen, unfortunately. Thanks for watching and your comment! Grt guido

Great solution to your sweetness being a delight for the mosquitoes 😉 but no one gonna ask us to zzzzzubscribe anymore. not as atmospheric as predicted, but it happens and you made the most out of it anyway. Great video, thanks for sharing!

Yeah I was surprised that the thing worked as good as they say it does. I'm sure I can come up with a new subscribe joke somehow 😅 thanks for watching grt guido

Real life issues are what we need to see, otherwise if we only see your successes it could dishearten people in that their images will never be like yours. This type of video shows it is not all plain sailing. Plus you still got some really good shots. Message to self, buy that Mozzie Repeller.

That is exactly why I released this video. At first I thought to trow everything away but I don't want to be that channel that pretends that everything always go's according to plan. Better luck next time 🙂 thanks for watching and your comment I really appreciate it! Grt guido

Hey my friend...I use, for mosquitos, what I wear while deer hunting. It's a hat that has fine netting which goes down past the collar. I don't think it would interfere with your shooting and you'll be far less distracted. Great video and in the teaching much is learned!!

That is a solution indeed but then you also have to wear gloves in summer because they seem to love my hands 😅 until now this thing works perfectly for me. This morning, I took some shots on a boardwalk, and the repeller was on the tripod. But because I took long exposures, the boardwalk kept moving with me on it. So, set a timer and walked off the boardwalk while the camera took the shot. What I didn't realise was that I also walked out of my repeller bubbel and immediately attacked full force. It was as if they were waiting for me from a distance 😅 thanks for watching and your kind words. I appreciate it! Grt guido

I doubted if i wanted to show this video, but in the end, i think it's good to show the good and the bad. I don't want to pretend that I only encounter the vest conditions all the time. Thanks for watching grt guido

the 2 ducks image is GIGANTIC!!! Super AMAZING!! BTW... I recieved my super cheap-no battery version of the flexitail!!! I am happy to know that it works!!

That was a good one, indeed. I hoped for these conditions, but ubfortubatly, only hot this grey day. Hope your device works well also! I've only tested this one, and I'm really amazed by the results. Grt guido

@@GuidoVanDeWater I presume it's using chemicals - I don't see anything on the site saying what they use, how safe it is ...
@GuidoVanDeWater3 ай бұрын
I don't know exactly how it works. But there is a sort of laser inside that heats the pads that you put in. And there is a very light smell as if you are making a fire. And I think mosquitoes naturally stay away from fire. But what the exact substance is they use is unknown for me, but I am going to ask them. If I get an answer, I will let you know. Grt guido

17:55 isn’t necessarily too busy, but I’d like it a lot better if the bench wasn’t in it. The following shot was a big improvement, if still not your best work. Thanks for the recommendation on the repeller, which looks like a great product.

I totally agree with you that his wasn't my best work by far. But sometimes it's a good thing to show that things don't always go great. I don't want to be a channel that only show the very best. You learn from your mistakes and that's what I want to show. These mistakes / problems / learning moments will get me to a higher level and I hope you and all the others watching this channel will take something from that. Thanks for sticking with me on this channel I really apreciate it! Grt guido

@@GuidoVanDeWater Much agreed with the poster below who pointed out that only seeing a KZbinr’s best work can be very discouraging to us mere mortals. I’m not on your level, but I know that my best work represents just a small fraction of the photos I take, and suspect the same holds true for most photographers.

Grt guido

Could you tell me, how long do the mats that you insert into the flextail repeller last before having to be replaced? thanks!
@GuidoVanDeWater3 ай бұрын
They say the mats can be used for up to 10 hours. I'm still using my first two now, and they are around 10 hours of usage. They look a bit black now, so I think it is time to replace them. Thanks for watching. Grt guido

I have a face net when they get really bad, today zi just blasted my hat with bug spray. A bit on my shoes and the back of my hands, that kept the nippers at bay. We forgot our thermocell mosquito repeller. Too bad about the raw files.

I've heard stories of mosquitoes in Canada and that it's a huge problem. A thermocell is a good idea this is a bit the same oboy then smaller. Thanks for the comment and good luck with the mosquito's! Grt guido

Hi thanks for the video. Quick question if it's already been asked so I apologise. Have you always been a mft user as I'm looking to come back Olympus/Om. Thank you.
@GuidoVanDeWater3 ай бұрын
It's been asked, but no worries! Micro four thirds have been around since about 2010. Since then, I've used micro four thirds. But to answer the question, yes, I have always used olmypus / om system cameras. Started with an analogue one in the 90s, then went digital with the four thirds dslr cameras, and since the em-1, I entered the micro four third system. I think the system will not disappoint you. I only see the benefits of the system. Thanks for watching, and welcome to the channel! Shere, are you from? Grt guido

@GuidoVanDeWater Thanks very much. I started probably before you was born with a olympus in 1982 a om10. But can't help feel how much the micro four thirds system gets a hard time. Thanks again ill have another look.
