Why ask why? This project is brilliant and hysterical and I'm guessing when it's done this thing is going to be the sleeper to beat all sleepers! $2100 bucks and a lot of sweat and hacking? Amazing!

Thanks for the inspiration. I got a 63 Falcon Wagon for around $400 and a 91 Lexus LS400 for $500 that just needed a CPU for $200 and I'm going to try the swap like you did. I did a 47 Willys pu on a 95 F350 dually with a 460 auto 2 years ago. So this swap is going to be much harder.

I love the whole project and the patina look. I wouldn't change the wheels or paint it. I really wish I had the equipment to do this at my shop

Whenever you paint it, I think it'd be kinda cool to paint it the color the Lexus was; it'd be like a 'nod' to what it was!

LOVE the Falcon Swap... REALLY Impressed that you did this in your Garage... My only cavoite is.. ( and this is just my opinion ).. I think fancy wheels look a lil silly on a 4 door... I would like to see a steel wheel with some type of Ford Hubcap just to further the illusion that the car is a Falcon.. ( again just my opinion ).. Other than that ?? Amazing Build..

Apart from the grill and the position of the steering the US Falcon looks just like the Australian Falcon. Yes, the Australian ones could use Lexus underpinnings too.

related to the structural integrity of the Flexus and the title, what's the insurance situation for a beast like this? Also, it seems like the body and frame/interior matched almost perfectly -did you choose these models intentionally for the close measurements? Or was that just chance? If measuring, what were the key measurements to look for? Thanks!

So it is titled and insured as a falcon. As far as measuring, I got lucky haha. The only measurement I took ahead of time was the wheelbase.
