Great reaction bro. It might be worth looking into John McVicar. He was the journalist been interviewed on the video, but before he became one, he was one of Britain's most notorious armed robbers. I think he got a degree whilst in jail and became a journalist upon release. The Who made a film about his life.

I like your approach Flexx, I hope you get more views as you seem genuinely interested in other people and documentaries. The Old Bailey is the Highest Crown court of the UK. A pony is £25 quid and would have been worth around £800 in today's money so almost a thousand dollars per week. If you've seen the Godfather film whereby they snared the Senator after the mishap at the brothel in real life it was similar to Ron 's grip on Lord bootby. Although the situation was way out of hand. He was a Lord so a member of the establishment so untouchable. However, Ron and Reg used to put on parties in scruffy East London flats of the most rarefied nature. Total debauchery of which involved more members of the ruling elite, high ranking police brass, aristocrats, film stars. Bootby himself enjoyed what most of us would find highly highly distressing. It doesn't take a rocket science department to work out what these parties entailed and why they were recorded.

Don't know if you noticed but in the photos they were mixing with top celebrities like liza minelli and Barbara Windsor etc. When he handed the 2 bullets over in the pub the gun misfired. That's why he Said it was his birthday. The krays weren't the most dangerous gang though. You should look up the Richardson gang from London. They were the proper gangsters and had the krays sweating sometimes. The richardsons never get the recognition that they should. They didn't want to be known though and show off all the time, they liked to try keep quiet like proper gangsters. Kray firm Vs the richardsons, the richardsons win. In all ways, strength, smartness, business and money. That's why the krays hated them so much. Even Freddie foreman who helped the krays sometimes was far smarter and more dangerous. He was going to kill the krays as they were becoming too much of a liability but they got locked up. Freddie foreman, the last godfather of London. Check that out too. Oh and both brothers were gay. Ronnie admitted it his whole life and didn't care but reggie never admitted it until he was older. Reggie was married to a woman who killed herself eventually but they were both gay. Which was against the law back then. Ronnie liked his young guys. Very frowned upon. The bit you couldn't understand them, they were just sticking up for their clubs saying they didn't think that their clubs were really that bad and making out as if they were normal pubs and clubs lol. Tom Hardy is good in movie legend but the 1st film is better and more accurate. I'm curious, do you know what happened to both of them? They both died locked up. Reggie got a couple of weeks suffering in a hospital with cancer before he died but they were never getting set free

I thought it was the Nash brothers who ran things back then? They certainly ran the West end and were considered the heavy mob. Also Reg's poor wife had to deal with a jealous Ron. The twins were in a full sexual relationship and it must have totally confused her.

You didn’t mess with the Krays back in the day , they were dangerous. The east end of London was ruled by them . My dad was a typical Eastender he drank and frequently drank in the Cornocopia pub in Southend in Essex . My dad was also a typical Eastender he was brought up and lived in the East End . He moved us his family out to Essex to live a quiter lifestyle. The boys where dangerous, but also the Richardsons where to be feared

You could say that Ronnie messed it all up in the end due to his homicidal tendencies (Although it obviously helped create the firm's notoriety)But without that photo of him known as a gay male with the company of royalty together in his own club, I cant help but wonder if their intimidation over the UK media which obviously sent a almost untouchable reputation throughout the public had which in turn had given them somewhat of a green light/immunity to go on with their illicit affairs and public slayings beit before or after the photo.
