Perfect, that worked a charm. On my Mamba F4 board was getting zero OSD and maybe 30% chance it'd show up and even less that it'd not disappear quickly. Been rock solid just that one wire from the ESC ground to the controller board. I did suspect such a tiny ground wire with all the components would become a problem, didn't expect nearly as bad as it was though. 👍
@TekkGnostic3 жыл бұрын
I was misinformed it was a software bug and wasted a day trying different firmware with varying and random results. This fixed everything consistently. Also much smoother gyroscope in angle mode without the resonation.

youre definitely gettin into the small stuff there. awesome. its stuff like this that helps people learn. side note: your voice was ringin a bell and i swear, you could be a voice double for fine tune cb shop. check it out. pretty cool. btw, im havin a WEIRD issue with my taranis. im wonderin if you have any idea what it might be. ONLY my roll endpoints are all over the place. adjust in the radio, adjust in betaflight, both endpoints are up to 100 points off after disconnecting. All other endpoints are rock solid. any ideas? im stumped unless i got a bad gimbal on my pretty much unused qx7.
@PropsOff4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the above section..👍🏻 Now, your end points are off on roll, by how much? If you calibrate your sticks then adjust your stick travel using Betaflight receiver tab and "Inputs" menu on the transmitter, you should be able to dial it in resulting 1000 lowest and 2000 highest. Does that sound right?
@TheBoatPirate4 жыл бұрын
@@PropsOff it drifts off say 10 to 100 points. i calibrated the sticks and it did make a difference. at least it seems to arm consistently now. i got it a lot closer. gotta knock the rust off these old fingers now. youre the only one i could find to help me find an answer to this. Thank you so much for this video.. i fixed my video blackouts using the redundant ground.. im still trying to figure out how to fix the flickering of the osd, i've wired almost all ground pads to the redundant ground wire. 🤔

I actually had a camera that I crashed give me OSD flicker before. Finicky ground connection or an overloaded 5v rail too can cause it. I had to replace my camera though..

Nice video, I somehow started having about the same issue. This happens at random times, some days doesn’t even happen, or it won’t relate to the throttle. I also got a second 405 MK2 and still got the same thing one random day. I thought it as the VTX so I replaced my unify pro with a AKK X2 but has very noisy video…why is that? (Actually tried two AKK X2) Do I have to do all that weird mess of cables..? XD
@PropsOff Жыл бұрын
Yes, the video after this one is the final result for the best video ever. I spent lots of time placing and removing redundant grounds to measure the difference. Isolating the video system was the best part.
@BobCorey Жыл бұрын
@@PropsOff I saw your other video too. Isolating the video system means pulling power straight from the battery and feeding the camera through the VTX? Do I have to have this regulator in order to do this? Do you know if the 9v and VCC are filtered? I am trying to figure this out because I have spent so many hours trying to fix this thing…
@PropsOff Жыл бұрын
@@BobCorey The BEC (in my video) has an internal LC filter. If you run the BEC off VCC and the camera off the VTX, it is the best filtration. Yes, you will need to have the Matek BEC in order to isolate the curciut (as shown in the "Best Video Ever" video)...

sorry, i'm not ENG native speaker, so,: you wired from XT60 pad to the GND pin output (near the ESC conector) to the GND VTX pin in the FC , from the VTX GND pin in the FC to the cam GND pin, and from the cam GND pin to the VTX unit GND pin. correct? is a FC problem or Tmotor ESC unit? (or both). greetings
@PropsOff Жыл бұрын
Correct, full redundancy of the grounds back to the Lipo ground... I actually when further in the next video and used an LCfilter/BEC. You may be interested in seeing it. The issue is the electronic noise entering into the video output. Cleaning and isolating the circuit is the best way that I found.. I attach that video below.

@@PropsOff you know if the issue is applicable to other F722 mamba series or is only for "F722S" like you model?
@PropsOff Жыл бұрын
@@sL1pKn07SpinFlo I've had to wire many brands the way I did in the last video I attached. Oddly enough, I've not had to do this to two Matek F7 flight controllers (no matter the VTX).. I even run a redundant on AIOs. The VTX, especially HDzero, needs more ground.... A while back, all the components were separated. Never had any issues until the PDB became part of the overall component. I think the PCB and traces have become ever thinner and smaller, creating noise ever more present in the sign wave.
