The best way I can describe this movie is refreshing. From the soundtrack and how it mixes with Starlord's personality to the amazing special effects that bring you straight into an outer space that you feel like you've never seen before in film, to the great characters and how they realize things don't have to be serious 100% of the time for it to be a very solid movie. All the nuances was what really brought it to life. The only thing it may have suffered from was a weak villian motivation and maybe slightly more in depth character development. But that's pretty nitpicky and it doesn't take away from the movie much at all. Plus adding in more character development would have brought the movie to an extreme length in terms of time which critics don't really seem to care about but for most viewers that can become tiring and start to distract from the movie. If it did have a villian that I cared for but at the same time didn't want to see succeed (but maybe even did succeed) then this would be a perfect movie.
