Good morning, Kat. I just wanted to say thank you for speaking to us about how important getting checked for skin cancer. I had a mole on my lower right leg that looked wrong to me due to its color. I went to a dermatologist and long story short I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Melanoma and they took a chunk of skin out. Fortunately, the cancer had stayed within the mole. That was fifteen years ago now. I still get checked. Glad to see how well you took care of Gwen and sorry your trip went wrong.

Be vigilant about all your screenings for cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 after my regular screening (albeit late due to lockdowns grrr) but my previous two screenings in 2016 and 2018 had been clear. I had a mastectomy right in the middle of the pandemic and now have a yearly screening. Thankfully two years cancer free now. But I tell you what, just go if you're eligible for or if you're not and you see or feel something not quite right just get to your doctor. Screenings can and might save your life, they did mine.

what you referred to as "big ben" isnt called big ben. Big ben is the name of the bell in the tower which is called The Elizabeth Tower. The tower was named after Queen Elizabeth the second on the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee back in 2012 :D

Hi Kat! I work at Heathrow. Part of one of tunnels roof collapsed! So they had to close it. It actually happened again a few days ago. Always a drama at Heathrow 😂

Kat.......You have such a wonderful attitude!!!! I love how positive you are all the way through this video. I'm sure the "newbies" appreciated it and loved hanging with you. I haven't tried this because I have short curly hair.....but I've seen this product for "heatless curls." It's like a cushiony soft tube you wrap your hair around and then you sleep with it in your hair. This may save you tons of time when you are working.

Your bittersweet tears made me cry: bless you and Chip and your puppers for opening your heart to foster dogs. We are cat people but all of them, rescues, as well. We wouldn’t have it any other way. We are trying to heal from loosing our senior trio this year. 18 1/2 from kitten, 16 yr old we had, in our home 7 years and the 14-16ish?, who had been returned to the humane society twice……… we had for 10 1/2 years and she was the most loving kitty ever. So, so hard to say goodbye. We do have a new rescue: the Mama who was found under a tractor with 5 babies. 😢 HS took them all in and all kittens found good homes and we have Mama living the life of luxury: we wait on her paw to paw….. she deserves it. 💝

I'm so glad Miss Gwen's adoption went through. At first I was worried you were going to tell us she was euthanized. I totally feel your emotions as I have a friend who fosters animals and it tears her apart every time. Because you work the London flights quite often, it makes me really want to get over to explore the city. I've been to Heathrow a bunch of times over the past decade to change planes but haven't been into the city since the 1980's! Now I HAVE to go to Primark in addition to finally going to Harrod's flagship store in Knightsbridge instead of shopping at the airport store! I was at Target today in the dollar spot section and looked at that same scarf you were wearing. I didn't buy it because I have so many scarves it was unnecessary to buy another one. It looked really good wth your outfit of the day! I'm so glad you're chaotic journey to and through Heathrow on your return turned out to be a positive experience. I so wanted to get over to London for the Queen's funeral but better to wait until later in the long run. Another great video episode. Oh, yes, I wanted to comment that the lip liner Copy Cat you used with "Kitten" (I have Kitten), looked fantastic so it's helpful to know since Duchess is sold out! Happy Travels ✈️

To put your mind at a little ease Kat, there has been nothing about any injuries etc on UK news (that I have seen) regarding the troubles in the tunnel. From what I have seen though, a gas detection alarm was triggered and Fire Service crews, alongside gas engineers, attended and isolated the possible problem pipe. Not sure if the pipe was found to be faulty, or if it was a technical issue with the alarm, but seems like everyone was safe ❤

Oh sweet Gwen, i'm so happy she has found her forever home. Yes, fostering is hard. I foster neonate kittens and bottle feed them, and by the time they are on solid food and ready to go up for adoption I have become so attached and i cry EVERY time they leave me. But like you said, letting them go opens you up to care for more. It's so rewarding.

Kat love your blog. I love it when you go shopping in London. I need to take a trip just to go shopping. I’m so happy Gwen is with a good family but I’m with you I would be crying, she is a beautiful dog. I have a diabetic Yorkie who needs medication and insulin on a daily basis. I still cry to this day-when my dachshund passed away in 2016, I know how you feel. Another foster will come soon. You and your husband are saints for fostering these babies.

As a foster mom myself I will say that we do get attached to our foster dogs if they are with us for awhile before finding their furever home! The hardest part fostering is definitely having to say goodbye to our dog but the good thing is that you're the reason Gwen was able to find her furever home and left after having so much love given her in your home Hearing the story definitely brought tears to my eyes too because I have been through this many times too! I'm so very proud of you for doing a wonderful job with Gwen and for opening up your heart and home to Gwen and joining the rest of us fosters to be able to get a dog out of shelter and into a loving home for however long we get to have them There's no greater reward in life Sounds like your trip was fun and chaotic!!

The most difficult part of traveling to London is Heathrow. After that, London is a breeze! You were describing your issues at LHR and I could picture everything! That station under terminal t 2/3 going to 5, the craziness of security, getting to the gates . . . Crazy! But you looked stunning and I'm sure your smile put all your passengers at ease.

Thank you for another great video. And thank you for fostering shelter dogs. I work with a mini schnauzer rescue as a volunteer & it can be very hard--heartbreaking--work. There is the bonding & the separating. There was a medical case I had to decline because of the cost which would have helped several dogs rather than just one with no guarantee the surgery would work. Lots of stories to tell. And thank you for another attitude lesson. Good attitude is as infectious as bad attitude & a whole lot more valuable.
