the voltage here in europe on the outlet's is between 220 and 240 volts. In the most country's it is 230V. So yes it is quite very dangerous to use your american 120V appliences. Be carefull and i hope you enjoy your stay in Germany. Greetings from the Netherlands
@taylor71772 жыл бұрын
I thought the converters would drop the voltage down to 120 😳 I would've never known
@seeblue54902 жыл бұрын
@@taylor7177 A converter WILL drop the voltage to 120 VAC. But USA AC electricity is 60 HZ and Germany 50 HZ. In short, any motor operated device wired for 60 HZ will run slower at 50 HZ. So, a hair blower will heat up the same (no motor, a resistive load), but the motor part blow less as hard = run hot.
@jaimeriley12812 жыл бұрын
@@taylor7177 There is also a difference between a voltage converter and a plug adapter/converter. A lot of folks have to learn that the hard way.

Yup, I own one and it’s worth it. Like you I have curly hair that friizzzzzzes. I use Olaplex too. So I use number 6 with 5 drops of oil number 7 to dry it. I have the long attachments and use the thinnest one available in the states. The thing I like the most is that the technology keeps your hair healthy. And I use it on medium. It dries my hair faster than the Revlon on high. This combo gives me shining curls for 3 days.

Honestly Kat, I cannot believe you didn't know about the other voltage. Most appliances now ARE duel voltage but now and then you need a converter not JUST an adapter. What ever city or country I'm in, I gotta his the grocery stores. Really fun. I found Oreos in Paris. Great late night snack in the room.
@louisenielsen71062 жыл бұрын
Oreo can be found basically everywhere in Europe lol.. I'm European, I had no idea about the voltage difference either... We have the same in much countries over here. We all know that if we travel to certain countries, especially abroad we need to bring different plugs for out chargers etc. But I don't think most of us ever thinks about the voltage being different.
