Don’t you get vouchers or an allotted amount for food from the airline?
@KatNesbitt

Great question! We do not unless there’s a reason we can’t leave the hotel or something. But we do make a per diem which is usually about $2 per hour we are away from base so that usually helps to offset some of the food costs❤️

I'd just like to point out a few things, as someone who was born in London and spent 29 years living there that might help out anyone who hasn't been and has only watched Kat's vids on London: firstly, it's probably because of the area she's staying in but in terms of grocery shopping, Waitrose and M&S which I see Kat uses are the more upmarket and expensive grocery shops, so naturally the cost breakdown compared to your standard shop like Tesco/Aldi/Lidl/Asda etc will be higher. Keep that in mind if you want to grocery shop in London on a budget. Also you do NOT need to tip anyone, there's no obligation to tip unless you want to. Tipping everyone is literally an American thing only, we pay proper wages to restaurant/service staff so don't feel bad about not tipping anyone. Finally our "minor" currency is called 'pence', I think Kat was calling it 'cents', Pounds and Pence. Oh and also the Tube has a daily fare cap, which I can't remember off the top of my head what it is, I think it's s anywhere between £7-14 depending on the zones you travel so if you're doing a lot of tube travel, once you hit the cap you won't pay for any further journeys. Happy travels!

The tax free in Europe for non-EU travelers works as follow: when you buy something from a store, before you pay you ask for tax free. Then, the cashier will give you a form that’s filled with your passport info (so passport is a must when requesting the tax free). Then, in the end, when you get to the airport you take all the forms you have collected to the corresponding stand and they will give you the tax that you paid back. It’s very simple but you have to be willing to get through the hassle.

tip from a british girl. if a restaunt offers alchol they have to offer tap water for free, so next time you come to the uk ask for tap water. just so you know for next time. 9 times out of 10 they will put ice in it. also if you have a reuseable waterbotle then the are cafes and other places that will fill them up with water for free.

Thanks Kat for sharing the price you paid at M & S for your food purchases. We are planning a trip to London for twelve day's and knew that eating in a restaurant every meal is not a option. Doing take-a-way from a grocery store and having a picnic in the park is doable. Plus showing what you paid for a round trip tube ride is extremely helpful. Looking forward to your Dublin adventure. Stay safe🌵🌵🌞🌞

Just a tip from a Brit, M&S is one of the most expensive supermarkets in the UK, if you are trying to be savvy with cash then find a Tesco, Aldi or Lidl so much cheaper! Restaurants in central London can be pricey but if you go into the boroughs or even out of London(if you plan to) then you'll find they are soooo much cheaper. London prices are not reflective on the rest of the UK by a lot. ☺️
@Elisabeth-zi8ww

Thank you Chloe for the information about supermarkets in London..M&S will be just a stones throw from the hotel, as we are staying in the Kensington area. Not going out of London this trip, only day bus trips, but, we will keep an eye out for other grocery stores throughout London during the day. Again thank you for giving us a heads up..Do take care...Elisabeth from Arizona in the US..🌵🌞

I don’t think people realize exactly how much you truly work. Some may see the flight attendant position, but may not realize how much time you spend on YT content & editing, uploading, working with sponsors, etc. Plus your cosmetics company & everything else you put your heart/soul into. Please don’t apologize for being able to enjoy the fruits of your labor & definitely don’t apologize for putting up your Christmas decorations early! 😘😂 My hubby asks me every year what I want for my b-day (10/01) & every year I give him the same response… Bring in my Christmas decorations. I have RA & FM, plus a disability from attempting to save someone’s life. It takes me a bit to decorate. Having RA can be a beast! When I see you spending $, it’s usually on healthy goodness to help your body fight the ugly symptoms, esp the awful, painful inflammation. Taking care of yourself should not come with a guilt trip on what you spend. I always appreciate your content bc traveling used to be my favorite thing to do. Now I am living vicariously through you! 🥰💜 You have this old lady supporting you 110% . PS- loving the Amazon store front! It’s giving me great ideas!

Don’t apologize but I am glad you did decide to do this video. I am going to London in October for the first time. If you could do a travel tip video for those who are traveling to London would be helpful. Thanks.

Never mind the money, how do you stay so slim? All those yummy dinners, cafes, and bakeries, oh my! Add to that the irregular sleep which can affect weight and I’d be getting a little chunky(ier). I love all of your videos and especially like that you educate us in being better passengers, but the international videos have been a special treat.

Thanks for sharing! I think you can share whatever you like about your life and finances. Everyone has their own comfort level when it comes to their privacy about any part of their life. I hope no one feels “more or less” based on someone else’s finances and how they choose to use it. Yes, to the idea of sharing a domestic trip financial cost video. 🙂

I’m headed to London later this fall and would love it if you could make a “must do/see” type of video since you’ve been lucky to spend so much time there this summer. ❤️ from 🇨🇦

Have you ever looked into Athletic Greens (AG1)? I love the taste. I’m not sponsored or get anything from it, but thought you might be interested in checking it out.

I spent 17 days in Switzerland earlier this month, and compared to the cost there, you got a bargain. My cousin lives there, so I didn’t have to pay for lodging, but man is that place expensive! Gorgeous country

It's interesting how salty (your words) you said you became. I took the interest in your purchases as concern. If anything, I've questioned it because I feel bad that at times, you have very little choice but to purchase on the go......depending how long you will be working...and with the fact you can't depend on the refrigerators working correctly. BTW........I love how you take us food shopping and how you love to experience new food items. I've been dreaming about the bagged coffees you recently purchased lol! The fact that you are able to go on adventures while getting paid is priceless!!

I know the Whole Foods in Kensington doesn't have them, but I skipped M&S. Fortnum and Mason has these AMAZING Huntsman pies that I fell in love with when I stayed in Kensington last year. My recreation was good, but not as good as the original. If M&S has them, it's a pork, chicken, and stuffing pie that is SO good. It is so cool that your London stays are in Kensington, because each video reminds me of my stay there. Can't wait to go back. And wow, I mentioned that Whole Foods before you got to it in your video. I was in there every day of my stay last year. Their cheese and tea sections had tractor beams pulling me in every day. Now addicted to TeaPigs sweet ginger tea thanks to Whole Foods.

Since you can't bring fresh food back into the States when did you eat all of the salads that you bought? When I was flying I often bought my dinner at Marks and Spencer. My favorite was their chicken tikka.

Really enjoyed this video. I agree…it’s your money to spend how you want but it’s cool to see how much things are in Europe compared to here. Great concept of a video…keep ‘‘em coming!!

Great vlog, Kat. Sorry to hear about one of the crew getting food poisoning. Be careful because i wouldn't like to see you getting food poisoning when you are that far away from home. I would like to see what you spend on a domestic trip. So, you work hard for your money, you are a big girl, you are responsible, you can spend your money the way you want
