This is such a dream video for me. I almost feel as though I was there with you. I've always wanted to visit the Christmas markets! And the one under the Eiffel Tower...wow. You do such a good job of making us feel the here and now. You might check out the medical situation in Paris. You may have been able to get some of your arthritis medication at one of the pharmacies. Just something to think about. I hate that you were is so much discomfort for your trip. As a French, born and raised in Paris, it does seem overrated. When I hear what people think of the city, I really wonder if I've been in the same Paris everyone talks about!! The cookies you bought at Franprix are actually really a delicacy here, only a few like them (I don't) and the chips are not rare at all, just your classic Lay's. The store bought croissants though are the worst version of a croissant you could get while in France 😭

Born and raised American francophile (j'ai diplôme dans les etudes français) and agree on croissants. Each time I visit Paris, joys of going to a different boulangerie daily is a fun experience. Franprix has great jam options!

Love Paris layovers! In fact, I loved it so much, I took an LOA and went to school for the summer to learn French to become a French speaker (not possible at DFW due to dinosaur seniority lol). ...but...if you want to fly more CDG trips on reserve, you could become a French speaker if you take an LOA for 6-8 weeks and live in France. I had to send my dog to live with "daddy" for the summer while I was there. Franprix is pronounced Fran-PREE, not that it matters. Monoprix is the same pronunciation: Mono-PREE. lol Monoprix is like Target. Seriously. lol Sunrise is much later in Paris in the winter....but in SUMMER the daylight lasts so LONG! Omg, it's ah-mazing. Glad you got to go to the Christmas markets! What a GREAT reserve trip! Hope you're RA is feeling better soon. fyi...we DID miss you, but also knew you were moving, so expected you to be MIA for a few weeks. Welcome back! Hope you are LOVING your new home!

I don't think you can get bad food in France. I'm sure you can find it if you look, but it's hard. Steak might be disappointing, but that's not really their thing. There might be a few things you are not used to, or are not your favorite, but it's still cooked well. I never thought I would like Escargot, but I found i do.

Hi there I hope you don’t mind me asking you some questions but I’d like to be an FA specifically to become an LOD and I am curious about your experience. Did you already speak some French before doing that time there? Did you immediately pass the test they give after that time? I speak Danish and Italian but neither are my native languages so I’m always nervous I won’t be good enough. I’m about to live in Italy for 4 months though for a study abroad semester, so I hope that will do it for me. Any advice? Merci beaucoup :)

Fun video! I don't know how you and your colleagues do the 24 hour turnaround from placed like Paris. It takes me a day or two to recover from the flight! We (the same couple you met on a flight from Palm Springs around Labor Day, lol) just returned from spending NYE in Paris. We walked at least 20 miles during our stay but that is one of the things we liked most about the city. We visited the same Christmas Market at the Eiffel Tower and liked the vin chaud also. We may see you on a DFW to CDG flight in the future since we plan to return later this year.

OMG that puppy is adorable!! I don't foster puppies simply because most of my pack are seniors and puppy energy is a bit much for them to handle! There's so many moms and babies in the shelter and the rescues can't take them without fosters like you who will foster a puppy!
