I love this version of Seagull, and I so hope they release a live album with it someday. Their live versions of the songs they write sound so much better to me than the polished version done in a studio... Thanks for breaking one of their rules, because this song brings me much joy! 😃

I've obsessed over this song since I saw them perform on June 13 at Wolf Trap. THANK YOU for posting this. I can now try figuring out the chords so I can play this on my piano. I may or may not be a seagull.

Any luck figuring out the chords? I could use some help. I am also a piano playing seagull.

I put it off a bit until I finished transcribing a different song, but that work is now done. My quest to transcribe this one begins this coming weekend! I can keep you updated. We seagulls, struggling with our feathered wings, ought to stick together.

+anapologychannel D, Em, A. Then when he says "I'm a seagull a seagull I will always be" then it's just Em and then play D when he says "be"

Yep, that's what I determined yesterday, too. D, Em, A.

I've watched this a million times. Thanks for sharing! Did you also have a video of them playing Father and Son? I used to have a video of them playing that song at an outside venue on my favorites list, but now it's disappeared. :(

Very funny and entertaining. Don't think much of it musically but they are certainly clever with words. I.J.

This was in Queens, NY. The crowd was actually not that big since it was a weekday but the people at the front ( along with me and a couple other people) were literally screaming at the top of our lungs!
