In my first ever turboprop flight report, I review Aer Lingus's new regional service, now operated by Emerald Airlines. Also featured in this video is a very rare aircraft, which last visited Dublin a decade ago!

I saw a woman with a rolling carry on suitcase, could you tell if there was enough room in the overhead bins for a bag that size? I am used to having to gate check any rolling suitcases on regional flights here in the USA. I'll be taking this exact flight in the video later this summer. Cheers my friend.

Aer Lingus Regional's carry-on policy and dimensions can be found on their website. If the bag meets those dimensions, it's bound to fit in the overhead racks.

When flying from London or the UK to Ireland, do they check passports?

Legally you can travel to Ireland on different kinds of photo ID (unless Ryanair who require passports) however, you go through the same international immigration controls as all other arrivals, so they expect you to have your passport. On return to the UK, ROI Arrivals use a separate route and identity checks are rare.

@@FrecciaNeraM36 will be going from Brussels to Heathrow with Air Brussels and then with air lingus to Shannon. Connection time 2 hours. I assume I don't transfer. Gotta clear passport control, go out then in to departures and get my flight to SNN. Hopefully. All done at T2.

@@dipetar all at terminal 2 and you should be able to use flight connections. Bear in mind however that this is a self-connection and if your first flight is late, they have no responsibility for rebooking onto a new second flight.
