What exactly is a landing pattern?

It typically consists of flying parallel to the runway you're going to land on (in the opposite direction aka downwind), and then turning perpendicular to the runway (base leg), and then finally turning towards the runway to land. :)

5:46 I mean, if you take a look at Irish history, that wouldn't surprise me. One of the oldest written works about the place is the Book of Invasions documenting 5 different groups that invaded it before humans finally did the same. They were folktales and myths told to help people get through the Roman, Viking, and Norman invasions before you get a century long lull when the Scottish then English invade. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Spain was in there somewhere.
