Great to see you on MSFS, wondering if it would be possible for you to test the flight model at all. Climbs, banks, stalls etc, there are many vids on here all showing off the graphics, which are the best and are absolutely stunning, no question there. But I’m yet to find any real in depth info about the actual flight model of the aircraft in the sim. .I’m assuming as a real captain, you would be in the best position to let us know how it feels, is it on rails, does it feel and act realistically or has there been some toning down or artistic licence used? While I’m sure it will be great, I can’t help but wonder why everyone seems to concentrate on the graphical side or weather side, rather than the flight model.
@flightdeck2sim4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot buddy! It’s certainly not on rails compared to earlier builds and light aircraft handle as I expect, weather seems quite dynamic which is great to see. As soon as I get a quality 737 I can really pod and proke the flight model and see how the aircraft reacts to various inputs, speed ranges and external factors like weather. I think for GA we’ll be very well catered for on release, for in depth simulation of complex aircraft we’ll have to wait a little. FD2S

@@flightdeck2sim That's what I'm curious to see. I definitely love X-Plane with the Zibo mod (especially the price point between Zibo's free mod and the PMDG prices) but PMDG definitely seems to be a very detailed model, and the ability to have the new graphics and weather, and more importantly, the more detailed landscape without my having to spend time babysitting X-plane Ortho is definitely tempting.

Amazing! C152 is a beautiful plane, I achieved 40 flight hours on it, after that I had to quit for money issues :( So glad fs2020 included this plane, I can have old practices, maybe someday I go back to real skies again :p (btw they weren´t so nice by not adding the 737, sad, very sad...)

I want to get your opinion, have you flown the A2A Accusim 172 in Prepar3d? or the AirFoilLabs 172 in Xplane 11? How does the stock 152/172 model in MSFS2020 compare? My buddy is shitting on stock aircraft (though he has no experience with MSFS 2020 yet...), and in the case of P3D or XP11 I can see why, but I thought both the AFL and A2A versions were pretty good, though I preferred the AFL version myself for various reasons (it felt more fluid, more dynamic) but I only have a few hours in a real 172. Both were good, but I'm curious to your thoughts on how realistic the flight model is? How the systems are? The other concern I have is how bad the potential DRM might be for offline flying. I'd rather not be connected to the net 100% of the time, and I'm unsure how products might get pushed out. Will we be able to buy 3rd party aircraft from their own websites? or will we be forced to use the in-game Microsoft store? Will we be forced to make an Xbox account, if we buy through steam?

How realistic is the wind? I've heard some of the biggest issues with flight sims is the buffeting seems unrealistic at times, and not inconsistent like in real life.

ive got a similar setup a i7 10700k gtx 1070ti overclocked, FD2SIM what fps where you getting roughly please and what settings? plus completed all my ATPLS last month starting CPL in two months hopefully! super excited
@zigaklun33954 жыл бұрын
why so powerful cpu and this outdated gpu? 1070ti bottlenecks your system even if you used some less powerfull cpu like 10600k or ryzen 3600, maybe even 10400f. 10700k and 10600k are not a bottleneck even for 2080ti in 1080p

So its just a pretty sim nothing more. Shame. I recommend aerowinx flightdeck! Its a prof 747 sim with everything included. You want a microburst over there. No problem. Severe icing..ice can break and damage your engine etc etc

The graphics are amazing but what interests me most is the flight model. How accurate do you think it is?
@flightdeck2sim4 жыл бұрын
Hi Martin, It’s certainly not on rails compared to earlier builds and light aircraft handle as I expect, the aircraft also react to external factors (weather) which is great to see. As soon as I get a quality 737 I'll be able to really prod and poke the flight model and see how the aircraft reacts to various inputs, speed ranges, something XP11 does well. FD2S
