Тут минимум отличий от русскоязычного. Выкинуто несколько сугубо внутрироссийских моментов, а основная содержательная часть, вся экзотика и все красоты на месте. Кто видел русскую версию - ничего нового в английской не увидит и не услышит.

I have heard about this development for a few years, how is the certification process? In actual production already?
@FlightTV
@FlightTV Жыл бұрын
It is actually being manufactured (several planes a year, as orders come in) and flies (which is shown in the film), but its papers are different from what is the actual Russian type certificate - because it's an An-2 mod, and An-2 never had anything like that. Did you even watch the film at all?

@@FlightTVyes, I know that already, I am actually asking if the EASA certification was completed since I understand they going for one, but I couldn't find news of it anywhere.

Considering the present political situation - won't happen anytime soon. The only relatively new completely EASA-certified Russian airplane known to us is SSJ-100, which is better described as “Airbusoff”. Other Russian airplanes that have whatever European approvals (Aerovolga Borey, for instance) don't have the kind of EASA certificates you mean. It's more politics than anything else, but also a huge expense for the manufacturer.

@@FlightTV that would be a big problem, since commercial use would be very limited especially a big utility like this. I thought it would get certified because I heard it since 2016 already. Another problem is obtainability, Ilyushin Il-103 and Beriev Be-103 are both FAA certified but it is impossible to obtain them overseas even when there is no sanction, I don't know if they are still in production now. I've been in a Yak-18T, good plane but can only fly in experimental category.

@@wckoekAs well, it is still a 1947 biplane, just with a different engine. Think in lines of Douglas DC-3T, or DHC-3T Otter, or even PBY-5 Catalina equipped with something like PT6A or this TPE-331: the same good old manual-only flyer, just guzzling Jet-A/TS-1 instead of expensive and toxic 100LL/B-91-115, with relevant benefits. It just isn't feasible or sensible for EASA to issue it a type certificate in 2023, and its capabilities that are paramount in Russia, South America, Africa, Indochina, and Indonesia, are not really useful in Europe.

How fast is the An 2 TVS 2MS
@FlightTV
@FlightTV Жыл бұрын
170..210 kph cruising (110-ish knots for those who are stubbornly non-metric), 250 kph never-exceed (but actually it can cruise close to that at 3300 metres/FL100, especially with a tailwind). It usually flies “below the lowest” or outside the airways, so its captains do not use non-metric feet/knots/gallons/pounds system, and fly using metres, kilometres, litres, and kilograms. Also, it's not an An-2, it's just TVS-2MS officially. It's a re-engined An-2, but legally it's a different plane, takeoff and landing procedures are also slightly different.

Wait... honeywell engines? Isn't honeywell n American company? Are they still allowed to buy/use those engines, now, in 2024? That would surprise me. I think Russia will need to crrate and use some new home-made engine that at least triple the service life of it if they want to improve the longevity of the airplane.

@kevint1910

the only question for us as US voters is what are we getting out of the billions spent on this donnybrook? The answer is debt aka "the shaft" and it wont matter in the slightest at the end of the day which brand of Slav "wins" the right to claim to be top Slav of the steeps the outcome for us remains the same we get the privilege of holding the proverbial "bag"...and btw any number of Russian helicopter turbines could be adapted to do this job it just so happens that this kit already exists so they can get the entire set up basically off the shelf. Embargoing a nation that is sitting on 3/4 of the earths untapped resources is a height of idiocy that could only be topped by confiscating off shore wealth held by Russian oligarchs. Since the fall of the USSR Russia has had one singular problem gutting its growth "capital flight" Russian oligarchs holding billions off shore wasting their time and resources on "super yachts" and there was not one singe thing Putin could do to bring that money home or more importantly preclude the capital outflows that fed them...enter Joe the Big Guy Biden king of sanctions and asset confiscation to shore up Putin's hemorrhaging economy for him by doing the exact thing needed that no Russian politician could survive even contemplating let alone implementing not even bloody Putin himself.

We tried to avoid propaganda here. What people are saying here, they are saying honestly. And I actually removed all possible political agenda from the English version (couldn't avoid some plugs in the Russian original, even if we minimized it). I'd like to ask you for time codes of the moments that you consider a thick propaganda.
