Currently working with Tyler to tune my 2013 B8.5 A5 with a custom EFR 6758 set-up. He did my 2011 A5 K04 Frankenturbo prior and I have recommended to friends and family many times now! They love his work as much as I do! Tyler is awesome to work with and really knows his stuff. I'll always have a WPT Tune in my Audi's and VW's!!!

Do you have possible #'s for your A5 with the 6758 setup?
@kens66522 жыл бұрын
@@That_Stinger_GT5 The tuning is no where near complete but data logs show us putting almost 370Gs through the MAF at 7000rpms with some mild porting of the head. We're still working on the bottom end of the range but its on boost early (perfect for launches) and holds 23-24psi (bottom end limited) all the way out! The car pulls hard, like pushing you into your seat hard, all the way from launch till you get out of it at speeds only attained in Mexico!

So I've bing watched this whole build and one thing I want to say is I commend you for stay focused and true to the build. You never gave up and saw the build through. You are a true car guy. Secondly the dry humor works, made me laugh a couple times and 3rd im happy to finally see the numbers with the new turbo, kinda give me an insight into if I was to do this with a A5 but at this point I have other plans for a project car. It's funny how much engine break-in techniques differ. I've broken in roughly a dozen engines, most of which I've built myself and I've done it several different ways. It's interesting how JE recommended a lighter break-in on your engine, which is the same for the way IAG recommended I break-in my old LGT wagon. But the Hondas, and motorcycles I've built all preferred a much more rough break-in. So in summation; it's either that certain engines want to be broken in certain ways, or that there's no real magical break-in procedure and we all just hope for the best and change the oil a LOT. haha Another excellent video man! Hoping this beast stay together!

Variety in driving/riding seems to be key for most engines; accel, decel, heavy load, and staying away from sustained RPMs... and a ton of oil changes. haha
@swandonovan2 жыл бұрын
Knowing what it did on the dyno, it was interesting to hear his prediction. While boost won't be upped a lot with the fuel upgrades, you'll be able to run a lot more aggressive timing with the better octane rating and cooling effect of ethanol, which should up power the whole rpm range, and should be able to get into boost a little sooner as well.

I was debating if I should get a K04 or a CTS 500 boss kit, and after watching all your videos I love the boss kit but I don’t want soooo many problems, so I think I’ll get a CTS hybrid K04 and that will get me around the 350whp/370whp so around the 400hp/420hp, I think that’s good, maybe not enough if I think about the money I have to put, but I don’t know if should use the IE stage 3 K04 tune or a custom tune, the thing I like about IE is that I can change fuel oct very easy

That is a good question. My brother has actually had a catch can freeze on his mk6 and it blew out the seal on his pcv plate. So in the winter, it might be a better idea to use the stock pcv, especially in Minnesota

Hey there I got a b8.5 Audi A4 in the tiptronic transmission. One day I want to manual swap but for now I’m modding until the transmission goes. Any tips? Like what to know about the engine etc… I am starting with a digital boost gauge and a manual boost controller. Do you know what size the stock turbo is and what psi I can push the stock engine to without it blowing up on pulls? What diffuser are you using as well? I want a quad tip exhaust too! Also greetings from South Cali! Thank you for all of your hard work, I hope my b8.5 can be as great as your b8! Any tips would be amazing!

Can you expand if you did the break-in different on the first rebuild? IMO, the cylinder walls looked ok, I would dare to say you open the engine it will have those lines. Oil blowby is the oil control ring, and maybe that number 1 failed possibly due to contamination. The shop looks a little dirty.

im currently also in the break in stage of driving my a4 b8, after having the pistons replaced due to oil usage, with better pistons and some other parts, and a custom tune. is it ok to hit the gas for small pulls, when the engine is hot ofcourse, and while keeping the revs under 3k-3.4k/min ? i know its ill advised to go over 4krpm, so i wont do that at all, just curious if occasionally hitting the gas is still bad during break in or not?

Your IE silicone piping will work just fine. Even stock piping works. The ecs aluminum piping kit doesn’t exactly work because it utilizes that turbo muffler delete insert. In my turbo install video (I think episode 3?) I go through that a little.
