Agree with wanting the lining on the inside of the collar with the collar popped. If my flannel lined trucker had cord lined cuffs and a proper lined collar with flannel lined pockets it would be my perfect every day jacket. Thx for the reviews and happy holidays, Jeff!

Jeff. I have a Hudson jacket and the collar lining is the only drawback. I am just going to sew some corduroy or wool on the collar myself. I was thinking of making it detachable so that I can wash easier.

If you could only choose this vs the flannel lined trucker jacket, which one would you choose?

Right now I would say this. The rancher is winning. I am going to wear them back to back before I do my full FNT waxed jacket rundown vidoe. I want to wear both for a few days so I can give an Ike at definitive answer.

So, if you were only planning to wear a t-shirt under it, since it is the warmest of their wax jackets, would you size down to a small, or do you think that would be too small and restrictive for you?

I would still get a size medium. If nothing else, the sleeve length. Once the wax canvas breaks in, it starts to develop a nice patina. The sleeves will get those creases in them, making them shorter than they are when they’re new. So that would definitely make the sleeves too short if I size down. Also, I do think it would still be a little restrictive across the chest if I were to go down one size. While I have plenty of room in the medium. I think, sizing down to a small, would give me some issues. At least for me personally, as I am a bit big in the chest.

Did you get to use it in the colder temps? 20 degrees and under? How did it do?

@@AegisDefense117 yes I did. This is my cold weather waxed jacket. I wear it down to the low 20’s. If it’s really cold I will pair it with the Relwen Windzip vest underneath. Once it dips down into the teens I wear a pea coat or a TNF depending on weather conditions or what I am doing.

Cleaning any waxed canvas is spot clean only. Use a small brush to get any heavy grime off and a damp rag to work any spots. You do not launder waxed canvas. You will ruin it if put in a washing machine.
