I have the Moss and Field Tan color variants, but as far as I know the Moss variant is no longer an available option on the website. Purchased it in 2021. 3 years now, one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The Moss colored one is my favorite jacket.

In case it helps anyone, I have had a challenge finding a waxed jacket that fits me well. I bought one in size M and though it fit well in arm length and waist length, it was too tight across the shoulders and back. So knowing that FNT tends to run a bit fitted, I ordered the Thursday Boots version of this in M and L. Once again the M was too small. But the large was too big. Thinking that maybe since the FNT is more fitted than the Thursday, I ordered the Waxed Trucker in size L. I believe I hit the sweet spot. Not too large to wear with a single layer underneath, but enough room to layer a hoodie under. I have my daughter coming this week to confirm the fit since she's the fashionista! :) Edit: for reference, I am 5' 11" tall, 170 lbs, 32 x 32 pant size and have a somewhat athletic build.

in terms of looks, the the difference I rarely hear mentioned between the flannel and wool versions is the flannel version, because it’s a less dense canvas, tends to look a bit flimsy and crinkly compared to the wool version. That said, the lighter version will probably show more patina quicker (this basically happens with lighter denim versus heavier denim as well).

Yeah I can see that. It's not something I thought about before, but I see your point. The lighter weight canvas has an almost "unironed" look. I think both look cool though. 🙂

Are waxed jackets always a bit stiff or do they loosen up over time ?

They loosen up. It kinda depends on the temperature too. As it wear it and warm it up on the inside, that warmness will radiate out a bit and loosen it up.

What he said 👆🏻. I would also add that it depends on the fabric. If the fabric is thick, it will take time to break in regardless. These F&T jacket are a good balance. I find that they loosen up pretty quickly

@@BeastMadeReviewsdo they loosen up as in getting larger in size or do they just get more flexible? I’ve heard that the sleeves actually shorten a bit due to bunching up in the elbow area.

Are the trucker side pockets lined? I just got one in from the sale and the pockets weren’t lined on the inside.

yeah, they're lined with the same flannel as the inside lining. Yours weren't lined? That's strange. I would chat with their customer service and ask about it. I just got these a couple of weeks ago so they're new. And if I recall, I think the website says the pockets are lined.

The earlier versions were unlined. The switch was made last year, so what you had was made before then.
