1: I'd love to see sage grouse in silver peaks. 2: I'd like to see a slider for render range. Maybe up to 800 meters. 3: great one Rocky mountain elk and great one mule deer. 4: this one may be hard but maybe trail cameras? 5: irregular antlers. Drop times and stuff like that. 6:rework the grizzly bear. 7: maybe some kind of spotting scope that can see further if they can't do the render range slider. What do you think?

grizzly rework is a must, how are Caribou just chilling with them at drink time😂. Also, make foxes and bobcats spook class 1 animals. Honestly, if they just focused on animal interactions one update I wouldn't be mad

The only thing I would add to this is new species on old maps and separate subspecies. Things like Dall Sheep on Yukon, and the separation between Rocky Mt Bighorn and Desert Bighorn the way that Caribou and Reindeer are.

One thing i’d love for any snow map hopefully for the new snow map, is wolverines! Specifically with the same population mechanics as the snow leopard, Revontuli, medved, yukon, heck even layton could have had them, but they just wouldnt have been done right without the population changes they made with snow leopards. But now they can!

I just want a savage 99 added to the game, its one of the most common hinting rifle ever made (millions produced over 100 years in dozens of calibers)it would add a lever action that fires spitzer bullets, and for some reason its never appeared in a video game as far as i know. I actually think its crazy that its not already in the game (praying we get a community lever action pack)

1. rework bears, lion, etc. to look better 2. atypicals or nontypicals for common rack animals 3. a winter themed lodge with a fireplace inside & snowing outside 4. another free map like Yukon for the vanilla people 5. rework low vis / high dense brush maps like New England to have much better clearance near drinking zones (literally the biggest factor when people consider "fun" maps, "money grind" maps, etc.)

I would love to see beavers added to the game. Plus with the addition of beavers, you could add dams to break up the rivers and have a easier way to cross back-and-forth to collect your kills and not get stuck on one side of the river.

Id love to see peacocks. Could you imagine a melanistic or albino peacock and it would come with a new map because they are from Sri Lanka and India, where they are the national bird. They live in open forests near streams, and are also found in cultivated areas and around Buddhist and Hindu temples.

Agreed. Africa is maybe the Best hunting grounds of the world and is completely ignored in the game. I cant understand why they ignore it. The ammount of hunting species are even larger than asia and north america together. At the moment we have 2 reserves in Oceanía and only one in África. Difficult to understand

My wishlist is a Great One Mule Deer, with 10 or more antler racks. Some backfills to other maps, for example Mouflon to Hirschfeldon, Fallow to Cuatro, and Pheasant, Red fox and Coyote to SRP. As well as some remodels, like Bighorn, and Mt Goat. And more Great One Red deer fur and antler types. And I agree with Flinter for the Asia/Pamir map. Marco Polo would be sweet!

The ammo changes; change the range of animal range where the Soft point are higher then hallow point on animal class. Everybody pick the highest penetration over expansion because all of the bullets are in the same class. Change the animal ranking so the ammo have values and the guns have values. Do you remember when you started a new game or was a beginner at the game and the value of certain weapons. Like you wanted a specific weapon because you knew the penetration was good kill and everything, I feel like ammo and the guns don't have any value anymore.

Custom ammo is already halfway there. I'd imagine it'd be a similar function to different weight arrows, switching between bird/buck shot, or even the hudziks roundball or maxi option! Would be awesome!

I second the additional info for the trophy's in the lodge. Weapon used, distance and map it was harvested on. One weapon I would luke is the .22 Mag. It could be for classes 1 & 2.

the only thing on my Wishlist is new iron sight weapons like different flintlocks, sharps rifles and carbines and old west guns me and im sure others get bored just sniping everything with a scoped rifle from 300m. And backfill silver ridge with new birds and bighorn ram reskin and new horns

My wish is for the .375 H&H to have a second ammo type to cover Class 3-6. It does have a 200 grain loading for plains game which is like half the standard 400 grain bullets used for big game. And a double rifle in .375 H&H for those fast follow ups at sub-150 yard ranges.

I really wish they'd added .375 as a double rifle rather than a bolt-action. It would have been more interesting and balanced it better against existing large-game rifles.

I think the AMMO idea is brilliant. They could rebalance the already existing Soft-Point Bullets to give people a reason to carry SP bullets. Make some of the soft points cover higher class animals, like the .22H SP taking on class 3 animals.

I would really love to see a search option for your trophies. Give us a place to type in red fox and all of your red fox trophies show up. That would be neat.

Choke tubes on shotguns would be nice. Or just a refresh or new shotgun ammo types. We have a lot of small game focused stuff now, including a great one, but the shotgun dynamics are still not that great. Being able to have a tighter pattern with more knockdown or a wider pattern that's less effective would be cool, or different sizes of bird shot to have a similar effect.

Personally I’d prefer a map set in the NW Territories or Nunavut over Greenland. Having the map be partially on the mainland and partially on the Canadian Archipelago would be nice. You could add Dalls Sheep as well as all the Arctic animals you listed such as Musk Ox, Polar Bear, Peary Caribou, Arctic Wolves, Arctic Hare, and a whole host of Waterfowl species. Wood Bison would be a great addition as well.

I would love to see a sage brush western map. Big deserts full of elk mule deer whitetails sage grouse turkeys mountain lions moose bears rabbits wolfs pronghorn ducks geese big horn mountain goats pheasants. This could make long range spotting and shooting a factor

I'm a cartridge nut. I have studied cartridges and cartridge development rather exhaustively. The 22 Hornet is WAY more cartridge than the game makes it out to be and it's far more powerful than a 17 HMR. To put it in perspective, the best 17 HMR loads are pushing 20gr bullets to around 2,400fps, while the 22 Hornet can 55gr bullets to 2,650. From the standpoint of energy, the 22 Hornet delivers roughly three times as many foot-pounds of energy as any 17 HMR load. The 22H and 243 Winchester are both ridiculously nerfed in COTW.

I agree. If .17 HMR were to be added it should be a class one and two ammo with .22 H getting promoted to cover classes one through three. Alternatively .17 HMR could be a class-one-only ammo, just with flatter ballistics, higher penetration and/or expansion values, and a little more noise than .22 LR.

I’ve always wanted a UK map similar to hirsch with fox, fallow, red, roe, mallard, euro hare and rabbit, pheasant, wild boar and some new species like grey squirrels, reevs muntjac, Chinese water deer, crows, woodpigeon, feral pigeons, woodcock, mink, partridge, and red grouse as options with rabbit dogs or ferrets. With the northern biome being Scottish highland, middle being forest and the lower being farmland. If not that then fur trapping. Give us steel traps, dog proofs, cage traps and snares but make sure there’s actual strategy to it and then give us a nice little dispatch gun

1. Better store/storage UI. Show what ammo a weapon uses and the class it's suited to so you don't have to go back and forth trying to figure out if a certain setup can be used for a particular animal you might be targeting. 2. Option to select the amount of ammo you can buy instead of just clicking the buy button over and over when you really want to stock up on certain ammo. 3. Trophy manager overhaul. Only 10 slots to record your best harvests? For every species in the whole game?! You are forced to overwrite other harvests you don't want to delete. We need a different trophy manager for each reserve with enough slots to record your best harvests of EACH species on that specific map. 4. Render distance. It needs to be bumped up to at least 500 meters. 5. Trophy Info. Yeah this is a good suggestion. Score obviously. Fur type. Reserve and date of harvest, the weapon used, shot range and if possible include the vitals info. Thanks EW for all the incredible features the game already has but just remember, there is always room for improvement.

I want to see a few things, but nothing more than a new lodge. I think adding more customization in the lodge would make things so much better. I’m thinking props, more customizable multi-mounts, and being able to place things where you want (not just on the plaques and floor platforms the game has in place already, but be able to put the plaques and platforms where you want). Imagine walking into your lodge and it looks unlike anyone else’s. Or that it looks like the taxidermy you’d see in a Bass Pro or Cabelas, with the big mountains and whatnot in the middle of the store

1. A map that is ALL mountain, maybe set in NZ where we can see tahr and wapati feeding on the edge of massive cliff faces. 2. Feeders, they would function like feed zones but you have to restock the food manually making it near impossible to abuse them as it would be to expensive to buy the food. 3. Trail cameras 4. Weather effecting how animals behave, E:G after a thunder storm in vurhogna there will be more animals drinking. 5. Animal interactions, we have seen this with lions chasing gemsbok/wilderbeest but it’s a bit jank so it could do with a rework, plus it would be cool if lions could have a chance of getting one of the lower level animals. 6. Trophy cam, the cabelas big game one is perfect

I’m really new to the game but one thing I’ve noticed that’s a bit of a let down, is draw distance. It’d be great to scan ahead more and be able to work out your approach to animals. It’d add much more to the stalking side of the game. Maybe less info on distant targets, so just species until you get to 400m. I’d be happy with just that really as it’d add a lot to the game.

Being able to customize your own map like you choose your favorite reserve and you pick your favorite animal to be on that reserve For example: I choose Layton Lakes and I want gadwall, green winged teal, Canada geese and other animals that aren’t on that map

My top 10: 1) New Africa Map. And now that theyre more comfortable doing endangered/controversial species, They can add Elephants, Hippos, Leopards, Cheetahs, etc. 2) Japan Map. They did it for the Angler so why not? Japanese Black and Brown Bear, Sika Deer, Tanuki, Raccoons, Boar, Japanese Macaque, Green Pheasant,etc. Would be great to hunt on map thats notoriously hard to hunt irl 3) My gun ideas: 760 Gamemaster, Savage 99, and a1911 Handgun are stuff I'd like to see 4) Trophy Shots like Classic 5) MORE TROPHY LODGES!!! Like dear lord we are long overdue for it. 6) Melee Weapons for quick protection like a knife. 7) Horses for quieter transportation 8) Skull Mounts for Lodges like Classic 9) Make Bears and Big Cats more dangerous like how Tigers will stalk you 10) Canoes for traveling across rivers and patrolling shorelines Honorable Mention: Make Turkeys more realistic. Make them strut and gobble more often

Flantro I don’t know if you saw my comment on the livestream but I think the antler and fur polls by EW are all animals that will be on the snow map ew teased for this next year. I think the map will be Canada and will hold those animals on the polls and several other animals like new types of lynx, caribou, muskox, stone sheep and many more. I think this would be such a cool idea especially if set in the winter definitely on my wishlist! Have a Merry Christmas!

They created a great one caribou years ago when they had the beta for great ones. I got one in Yukon and it's in my beta trophy room. I've been waiting for that to actually come out ever since.

1: mainly backfill on existing maps. My main one is dusky grouse on silver ridge peaks cause its pretty close to home but sitka blacktails or dahl sheep on yukon are a close second. Overall just a huge backfill update across all maps. 2: filters on trophy manager cause dear lord 3: great one mule deer 4: non-typicals. Mainly whitetail and mulies but they could do some really cool ones for elk 5: arctic map. Basically whiterun from classic would be ideal plus some more species 6: maybe a NA plains map like the dakotas or wyoming. Big bird hunting potential both upland and waterfowl with mulies, pronghorn, bison, and whitetail 7: central america map could be cool. Oscellated turkeys, brocket deer, whitetail, all the other cool birds, capybara, caiman, jaguar, etc 8: a much more ridiculously large lodge possibly with room for stuff from an africa 2.0 like elephant and giraffe All of this along with flinters video stuff could be absolutely massive

300 BO really is a Sub/Super cartridge. You run subsonic for using a can and supersonic without. That's the original idea but most people just use subsonic ammo even without a can.

Merry Christmas! My wishlist would be 1. Render Sliders for the game, I don’t know about anyone else by my rig could render the globe, I wanna glass from mountaintops like we do in real life. 2. Spotting scope for same reason as above 3. Bipods or shooting sticks, like you deploy them and you can’t move and/or traverse more than 90 degrees, but your weapon is stable OR allow us to bring a backpack and use the backpack as a gun rest like in real life 4. Pakistan map or Pamir mountains as you suggested for the same reasons you listed 5. More ammo choices, maybe not a whole slider system as you suggested but a middle ground between soft point and polymer would be nice 6. Larger caliber weapons to go with larger animals 7. Better ballistics for all weapons 8. Weapon accessories like rangefinders or suppressors. A lot of hunters out in the Midwest are using suppressors to help mitigate felt recoil and reduce muzzle signature, which saves the shooters hearing and allows the impact to be observed, so that you know if the shot was well placed. The suppressors shouldn’t even be allowed to prevent spooking animals, or maybe reduce the range that animals are spooked by the round but also makes the weapon heavier and more unwieldy.

Personally, the Great One I would enjoy most would be one for either Elk species. Cause, honestly, neither of the species look very good, but the Roosevelt Elk look by FAR the worst. They could go really crazy with the drop tines and clubs, which would be absolutely stunning to see in the wild.

So that's why you were asking about the 25-06 yesterday 😂 the bullet weight range thing would be sweet, hornady makes all the way down to a 75gr vmax varmint bullet listed at 3600fps out of the 25-06 so that would be definitely a classic 2 thumper, and then yeah up to 120gr at 3000fps ive even heard of folks taking elk and moose with the 25-06. Wouldn't be my first choice for game that size but it's good to know it works in a pinch

I’m still calling that the next great one is the wild boar. I know the pattern was broken with the Tahr but every other great one is available in base game. They have a lot of opportunities to make the tusks huge and broken or maybe they have like mutated extra tusks growing thru the mouth. I would also love a new lodge that’s large like the African one but has a classic vibe like the Layton lakes trophy lodge. Also, I agree the Cape buffalo needs reworked so bad. Every animal in Vurhonga needs a rework tbh.

I wanna see high fence hunts for people ( like myself ) thay just don’t have the time it takes to really sit down and grind for long periods of time, call it a easy mode if you want but I still think it would give people a chance to get excited about the game even if it’s not the most hardcore experience

I do agree, there should be a literal easy mode. You want that G1 that badly? Ok, there you go, you bag it in an afternoon! That alone would sort out tons of complains and bad blood.

@ exactly maybe add some sort of a different metal or score for what you kill in it so people don’t claim them like they grinded for hours but atleast for me I wish I could get some crazy experiences in the game without having to dedicate time I don’t have to it, I think it would work well for parents of kids and kids with short attention spans.

They should add Suppressers that would weigh a pound, animals would spook anything closer than 100 meters, and have like a 30 caliber suppresser or like a 20 caliber

Me personally I want a new whitetail hunting game where you can manage your land and the animals on it. Rut activity, plant food plots, manage for genetics where antlers are relative to the buck that bred the doe. Year after year you can watch the bucks grow. Wish someone would make this.

Totalt agree that Greenland should be a new map, but also with the addition of a seal species! No drink zones, no eating zones (yes, but beneath the ice) and only rest zones on the ice. That would be awesome. And, as I have commented earlier (perhaps with other cont. creators…), just imagine an entire map with not a single tree on it! THAT would something new for cotw 😀👍🏻

Nice list! It got me quite hyped up for cotw in 2025 and made me realize this game still has a lot more potential. I would also like a roe deer model rework. Recently I made a (czech language) video where I photographed them irl and then hunted them in cotw and I realized how bad they look in the game.
