Are docks as good for smallmouths as largemouths?

Depends on the lake and time of year. Vermillion is known to have smallmouth on docks. The real difference is shoreline structure. It seams like the more steep and rocky the shoreline is the better chances of having smallmouth on them. Typically docks are better for largemouth.
