Flip House Episode 4: Landscaping

This week I needed to take a break from wallpaper so I took advantage of the picture perfect weather and stepped outside to tackle some landscaping. I thought this would be a quick one day project and it was... not.
I created some garden beds along the house and along the fence and I finished some demo towards the back of the yard. I picked out some low maintenance plants that should hold up to the sunny conditions back there and I'm excited to see how they fill in. I was conscious of adding some landscaping to the yard without going overboard and spending too much money on plants and trees. I still have to put in a patio and paint the back deck and one more backyard project to share with you next week!
I'm already beginning to think about the kitchen and have started a bit of demo on the 2nd floor. And, oh yeah... more wallpaper to remove.

I love that you aren’t just slapping things together - the sign of a bad flip. You are taking care to think like you are selling it, but for the future of the homeowner. Hiring some stuff out. Taking care to get the right plants and spacing them correctly so that they will look nice in the future. I wish that you were flipping this in my area - it would be fun to come and help and maybe buy it!

This reminds me that I need to dig up & replace one of my ‘Endless Summer’ hydrangeas that sits on the north side of the garage. No signs of life for that little bush this spring.
