The joycons being bigger but not shifting the positioning will be SO awkward for playing in single joy con, specially if youre stuck with the right joycon. It was always uncomfortable in the original because of that extra space to reach the joystick, but it looks so much farther away now. I don't think they thought that part through, I honestly dont do single joy con but you never know when you have no other choice.

@@PigeonDudeGuy oh I feel you there, it was very uncomfortable and annoying I honestly would rather have had two left joy cons instead. And don't get me started on when Nintendo WANTED you to use the joy cons, while games like Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu weren't as tedious, Super Mario Party which was sideways single joy con ONLY was horrible.

Can't wait to see what new games are coming to the switch 2. Mario kart is cool, but it'll only keep me interested for so long. Shorter than a lot of other games. That being said, I'm still excited for it. If you look in the background, you can see that they changed DK's design, which looks pretty cool. Also looks like there will be able to be 24 karts on the track at once, which will be pretty mad. I hope they also have some new IP coming out in at least the first few years of the switch 2's lifespan

@aerlandsson2792 Mario Kart is always a cool franchise that while sure may be short, it's one you can't help but keep coming back to every time for the multiplayer. And it's something for the casual non-gamer too. In terms of new IP idk if we'll see much, I wouldn't be surprised if we get returning newish IP like Arms and Splatoon tho. But we do know of the MMO they're developing from the Online Playtest. I'm however more excited for the Triple A opportunities we'll be getting, like the 10 year contract with Activision Blizzard for Call of Duty. Games like Forza and Sparking Zero can come to Switch no problem.

@@Flipdew Sparking zero on switch 2 would be awesome. And, even though I never had too much interest in Arms, I hope they give it another shot

@aerlandsson2792 Dragon Ball games tend to take about a year to release on Switch, XenoVerse 2 even had its own version. When it comes to Arms, I can attest that the community (at least the competitive one) is more determined than ever, we want people to know that Arms is a good time to watch and to play.

I think the kickstand on the Switch OLED is probably better than this one. But at least this one doesnt look like it can snap off like the og Switch's.

@@PigeonDudeGuy yeah but it has to have the shape it does for a reason. The console probably is too bulky to afford making it slightly bulkier just to fit the kickstand, cuz I'm guessing it has a lot more internally than the original.

I have my worries with the new designs, idk where the SD card is meant to go but i never liked it behind the kickstand. I also want details on the dock, the change in form on the front i hope isnt purely aesthetic, i dont want it to scratch my screen. And I hope it doesn't get rid of the extra usb port for an Ethernet port rather than just having both. Better fans might be good too for the dock.

@@PigeonDudeGuy I think the sd port is probably the one thing on your list they can't change, having it be exposed would be ugly yes, but they simply do not have the space on the console to put its own thing somewhere.

I can only assume more details are included in the leaks, and we'll have to wait for its release on April 4th.

Um Flip, that says February 4th, and thats for a Nintendo Direct not the release date. God knows when the system comes out.

Ugh, what a nightmare of a wait simply for more details. Tho it's likely they didn't plan on announcing it so early just didn't have a choice cuz everything was leaking and this is all they could put together quickly.

Even the thumbnail you can tell was done "quickly" since it's just a render and not a table setting like the others. And this didn't get a trailer with full use like we got for Switch 1.

@@PigeonDudeGuy It's no excuse tho🤣 they should've had all this ready 16 months ago. They expected to literally drop this info on us seconds before the fiscal year was over. When you actively go on Twitter to confirm a Switch Successor does exist, you should just drop a trailer. They pretty much asked for these leaks, and imo the only reason they dragged it out for as long as they wanted to, was to be able to squeeze as much money from the og Switch while it's still a money making machine.

Im pretty sure they did this Mario Kart reveal on the original Switch release too, with Mario Odyssey and other games.

Oh and the Switch 2 exclusive games. Oh brother be prepared for those 70$ prices. I don't see a world where they are not sold less than that, cuz they already got away with it once. And they'll still underperform, come with broken glitches, and have subpar graphics and framerates. Oh and thats just for digital, prepare 90$ for physical, plus taxes. And Deluxe editions be over 120$ on average.

@@PigeonDudeGuy oh no, I didn't think of that. That's gonna be so bad honestly, deterring from buying them, I remember when 3DS games were 50$ physical, I miss those days. That pricing might kill a lot of new IP in my opinion, no one will want to drop 70$ for a new Sushi Strikers.

Yeah, the magnetic mechanism and the bigger shell, plus hopefully drift fixed probably means these will absolutely not be the standard 99.99$ for replacements.

Oh if there's drift the people will be so mad it's not even funny. These are clearly a more premium product, I think while knowing that it was a previous issue, if this is an issue it's inexcusable. Plus we've been hearing of a Switch 2 for a LONG time now. They had all the time to test these to the limit.

Yeah why are certain Switch games not compatible 🤣🤣 that shit dont make no sense. I get the backwards, of course a Switch 2 game may not be compatible with the og Switch, but come on. Wtf is this.

Yeah I heavily agree it's like if they suddenly went "oh hey, New Nintendo 3DS, it has backwards compatibility with DS and 3DS but it can't run Pokemon Pearl and Diamond cuz it's only coded for Platinum" It's not even a completely new system, it's essentially like the New 3DS where it has probably got to use a new button or something that the og switch just doesn't have.
