I stumbled across this book at my local Barnes and Noble. I grabbed it immediately! I absolutely adore it. The illustrations are so lovely, and the fact that they are on watercolor paper just makes it perfect. I have not yet started to paint in this book... I am still savoring each gorgeous illustration!

Thanks for signposting this artist. I’m probably going to order this, I have a lot of water media, my newest are the Derwent Inktense pans so I’d like somewhere to play with these. Also I have been using Blackwells for a while now and think they are great

Ah that's great, I am sure you will enjoy playing with your water mediums in this book!! Good thing it's single sided too! I have only bought the one book from Blackwell's so far.....I think I may have to get more, as Amazon UK seems to be struggling to make books available despite them being release months ago!! I have this book and love it…I use Inktense pencils and Inktense paint, and Graphitint, and watercolor paints. No bleeding thru, pages are single sided, very good watercolor paer.

What I enjoy about it is that I use it for little periods of time…I can leave it and come back to a page and work a bit more. My goal is to just relax not to complete it..enjoy the journey. 😁

I bought this a week or so ago and did think of you when it arrived ! I love that it’s so quintessentially English ❤. I totally agree about Amazon ….. what is happening 🤷‍♀️ I believe they bought Book Depositry and then closed it down but without upping their service or stock of colouring books on Amazon . Like you I’ve gone over to Blackwells and cancelled my pre orders on Amazon . It’s a beautiful book I think loads of colourists will love it , thanks for sharing xx

Thanks for thinking of me, I definitely do like it! Totally up my street! I have no idea what is going on with Amazon UK. It is quite frustrating....I did buy Christine Karron's artist book on Book Depository (wasn't in a hurry) as I thought I would get it on Amazon. They keep delaying the date of 'release' - it now says August 30th! And Mythographic Aviary is still not available on Amazon UK....Lol. Anyways, at least we have the options of Blackwells. 🤗💗

I think you don’t realize you are already working with watercolor. I’ve seen you many times pick up pigment and apply it with a brush. The only difference is using specific for watercolor paints. I know you can do this and will be fun to see what you do in this lovely book.

Hello! I hope you like the book when you receive it. I think pencils should work, but I have not yet tried it out....however, there is quite a bit of tooth so depending on the pencils used, you have to do quite a bit of layering to cover up the whites of the paper. 🤗💗
