Just what I was looking for! Thanks. Now that I’m in my 50’s 3/4” sheets get my back squawking.

Me too Robert. I’m telling you. I actually just picked up a pretty cool dolly for sheet goods. But this is cool if you want to make one. For sure.

@@robertjames-life4768 did you build this one exactly or something similar?

You have a nice design and the plans that you've provided for free are excellent. I was thinking of making a similar cart from steel but you may have changed my mind. Unrelated, I have a sail from a small sailboat that has a Cork Island Race Week stamp on it. No idea how it ended up in Texas but I think it's a cool piece of history. I think I'll frame that corner of the sail for my cave.

There is one little mistake in the plans I just identified a few days ago, the main deck top and bottom rail should be 2 inches longer. An easy fix with wood, not so easy with steel 😅. I'm glad you like the design. That sailboat story is awesome!!! Cork is a pretty small place in comparison to Texas 😂😂 but an important port if you were doing a Transatlantic journey!

Awesome design, I just built a standard cart and now I already know that I need to upgrade lol.

That could be an infeed table for sheetgoods.as well as a work bench, assembly table and sheet goods storage cart, also with a few modifications it can be a long router table. Just pop out a plug plate and drop in a router lift both are held underneath.
@NickMakes4 жыл бұрын
It could definitely be modified! I have thought about it but it's always full of sheets. If I was to use it for something else I would make it a little lower

What is the final footprint of the cart? I am not sure if I could use your design for my garage, it looks a bit deep. Hopefully you reply soon, thanks

Again, this is the best!!! I wouldn't really need a workbench or sawhorses - because this sheet cart converts into a workbench!!! Awesome!!! I need the free plans, PLEASE!!! THANKS!!!

Do you have any info on those beautiful shop doors in the video

Sure they are teak and were purchased and made by a company in Ireland called Munster joinery.

Very nice. I have been thinking about making something to help handle sheet goods. I built a lumber cart several months ago. Then I saw a video and article about panel saws. That got me to wondering if a panel cart could double as the framework for a panel saw. Looks like your design is very close to that. Good work! Best wishes.

Nick, Super design. I’d like to buy your plans, but on your website it says the store is closed. Indeed, after entering all my info, I was kicked back to the original page. How can I get your plans?
@NickMakes5 жыл бұрын
Hi Pam, I no longer sell these plans as the cost of maintaining an E-commerce site was soo much, but I have added a free downloadable link in my website now :)
@PamPeerceLanders5 жыл бұрын
Nick_Makes Thanks for the link! Yeah, I can certainly understand about the expense of maintaining a store. Even the cost of a secure website is pretty steep.
@philipgearhart43233 жыл бұрын
it might be a little easier to get to the second sheet by just sliding both shhets off and then sliding the top one back.

I think you've done a good job. However, the presentation/demonstration is a total failure ..!!! LOL
@NickMakes4 ай бұрын
The presentation/demonstration was recorded in a single shot, on a crappy phone camera 7 years ago. My intention was to share a simple idea with others (for free...), and the hope was for it to be accepted with gratitude and without judgement. But hey, whatever goes..

Nick, Your cart built is great, I am in the process of building a slightly smaller version of it and I hope that I will succeed in making it as functional as yours. Many thanks for the plans, much appreciated. I found them on the link that another commentator provided. By the way, love Eire, rode a bicycle from Dún Laoghaire to Waterford and up to the Shannon 46 years ago.
