Today I’m taking this Facebook marketplace find and giving it a fabulous furniture makeover using Dixie Belle Paint Products. This piece is getting a dipped finish in white chalk minera paint on top if a paint wash an furniture transfer!

Really love the transfer and the drawer pulls reminiscent of ginkgo leaves. Perhaps seeing more of the transfer on all the drawers would be really extra!!! Love to watch you work too.

We have the same sander. Just a a tip to save your lungs attach a shop vac to it so you trap almost all of the dust as your sanding. And wow love the outcome!

It’s pretty. But I have mixed emotions about painting pieces that are of good quality and have little to no damage. I love wood too much to cover grain with paint unless damage is severe. Does anyone else cringe when they see 30s to 40s mahogany pieces painted? I fear it’s a trend that will be unable to correct itself. The above piece IS pretty and I like the rub on technique. You did a nice job. The handles are cool however I would have toned down the gold color.

I lose my mind. You are not the only one. I love chalk paint but it is reserved for pieces that have so much veneer/surface damage that I can’t repair it inexpensively.

This finished piece is so luxurious! I have to agree with the suggestion that the front feet would look great in gold, but I’ll bet that trying to get that shiny gold on them would be difficult at best.

Gosh, that turned out beautifully! I only thing I would have done differently would to center the transfer left/right. This means you have to piece it on two ends, but it's worth it.
